Any school that teaches 21 ways to screw up your career may be guilty of false advertising.

We generally get what we focus on, and when you focus on bad agents you will find plenty of them and likely become one.

Change your focus to the good agents... and become one.

Mainstream media is especially annoying. LOL

All forms of false advertising pale in comparison to the granddaddies of them all,  which  have multiplied  our real estate business expenses  dearly in the last eight years:

"If you like your doctor you can keep your doctor".

"If you like your health care plan, you can keep your health care plan."

Go to Craigs List and you'll see all kinds of advertising that are scams

Nothing really false - maybe a wee bit of puffery now and then.

Nothing that I've seen. 

Yes, Yard signs that say WE BUY HOUSES> targeting distressed properties "any condition, cash now" It's deceptive advertising. They are going to severely lowball you if you have equity in the house. If you are a short sale you may be offered some fee-related services by their 3rd party provider. 

I haven't seen any and this is not what would upset me.

As far as I know, I haven't seen any examples of false advertising.

False advertising is actually rare. I like to focus on the positive. There is much more "lack of effort" things i see like no pictures in MLS or no description

Misleading is more common than false. 

The local agent who puts the "Neighborhood Expert" rider on his signs no matter where he has a listing is guilty of false advertising.

Nothing that I can recall, but I don't really pay attention to what others do.  I tend to focus on what I do and to do it well.

The worst false advertising I did see recently was the purposefully deceptive descriptions of several ballot measures in the recent CA election.  That "grinds my gears" as Peter Griffin would say.

the list is too long....and it all begins with agents and their false self promotion labeling them as the #1 agent....

Like what was mentioned here in other comments good old craigslist offers its daily dose of false advertising!
