Most things are tradition, with an occasional twist as we have 2 vegetarians family members.  Tal about Boringgggggggggg.

No... it depends on where I'm invited for Thanksgiving. I do prepare the same for each Christmas Eve and look forward to it and like that I can depend enjoying the same thing each year.

There's always turkey, dressing and oyster casserole. Other than that, the menu changes, depending upon our moods when planning it! Sometimes turducken, sometimes seafood...

Not the same, we always change it around. 

      We eat Thanksgiving dinner at upscale fancy hotels, where they serve a variety of meats.  This year we are at Wakulla Springs Lodge.   The requisite Turkey will be served, but also Prime Rib, Fried Shrimp, and more.

Growing up it was a tradition with my maternal grandparents as my others lived out of town. 

For me, I would rather just serve at a local soup kitchen to help those who will really appreciate it. I think so many Americans take what we have for granted, but those in true need seem truly grateful when they can get a hot meal a few times a year.

I go to a buffet each year.  Usually change up the restaurant though.  This year we're going to an Italian restaurant that has an Italian buffet, plus the turkey stuff, AND BAR-B-QUE!  I'm a happy camper if I get BBQ ribs on turkey day.  Forget the turkey, I had that two nights ago.

I do not do Thanksgiving these days  If I did, the meal could be anything. And it usually was back int he days when I did Thanksgiving. 

My family sticks with tradition.

Why change tradition?  Although, it is interesting to note all the different ways stuffing is made across the country.

No, as I celebrate it with different sides of my family or even with friends from year to year, it's most always different.

Many years it was just my bride and I and we did take out and celebrated picnic style at home just the two of us.

I live really razor close to the New Brunswick Canadian border. And if you don't secure your Tom Turkey early, they are all heading across the border into the land of the red maple leaf. It will mean ham or other meat or a vegetarian Thanksgiving for you this holiday. 

Over the years, I heard others do briskets, leg of lambs, Goose and ? and wondered... only to eat my traditional dinner and be glad in it. Today, I prefer the variety if I can get it. I also don't wait to get it once a year either

Turkey remains king on Thanksgiving but ham occasionally finds a place along side it!

Some items that we consider special never get boring enjoying them just once a year BUT we do switch up between ham and turkey.

I think pretty much the same meal. Turkey, squash, corn, stuffing, cranberry. The things that seem to change are the desserts.

I like to add something new or a little different every year. Have asked kids to make something of their choice.

No, we switch it up. It depends on who will be around and whose house we will be at. This year is turkey, but we've done duck, fish, lamb, whatever. A few times we smoked the turkey, other times we put it in the oven. The sides change as well! 

It is just assumed that everyone likes what they had last year if you don't say anything. I just eat what I like.

basically, we have Turkey and one Italian dish...usually lasagna.... Rice pilaf and choreg are from the Armenian side of the family.... and this year I'm making Hannah Williams cranberry raspberry sauce.... I hope it gels!!!

We have only mixed it up once. We went to buy the turkey at 6 pm (the night before) and found that none of the stores had any available. Luckily, a colleague had sent us a box of Omaha Steaks and twice baked mashed potatoes. I will always have fond memories of that guy- he saved our holiday.

I'm the cook and Hostess so they eat what I decide to create and I switch it up.  This year I actually went traditional to everyones surprise!  I don't like turkey myself and when I do prepare it is usually brined or fried or spatchcocked or rolled or even one year as a Turkey Wellington.  I like the other birds and have served them all.  Life is too short to stick to the same old same old. :)

Turkey is a tradition, and aside from hitting the buffett for one year my mother could not cook. It stays the same. She likes to have the big family over and her running the show

One side of the family celebrates on the Saturday after the holiday.  I was cooking, so I thought everyone would be sick of turkey, so I did an italian dinner with lasagna, garlic bread, italian beef, etc.,  I learned from mistake when everyone told me they didn't get leftovers from their turkey day and were looking forward to having turkey again.  

Many people are running away not to have same routine. Those who have to cook and those who have to clean up.....

Yes ... pretty much the same menu everytime.  Desserts may be changed up a bit.  Luckily, the menu contains favorites of mine and I enjoy and look forward to seeing them on our table!
