Here in Florida everyone is clamoring for better public transit and less traffic congestion but they want to continue the 'feel' of a 1960 community or they bring their exclusionist attitude that means, "I got mine now I need to keep everyone else out." Higher density is what brings sustainable amenities to an area. Higher density means going vertical or accepting a smaller or NO garage.

However, as density increases and back yards become BNB shipping container vacation rentals, the result has become 'kids playing in the street and parents thinking thats alright."

That's a nice looking building.  Not my style to have something like that in my yard.  Not a huge fan of having a second family on my property.  If I did have a building like that, it would be a gym/workshop/etc.
