I make my own red chili sauce from scratch; I also roast my own green chilis. Beer is an essential ingredient!

No beans, and the sauce is made from dried ancho chiles that have been softened in hot water.  It is the best.  I just made it for us, and gave away the recipe to two friends.    Here is the link, I just cannot help myself, and I think everyone should have it. A

Chili is about all the fixings for me - sour cream, cheese, green onions, chips - get a good condiment tray and the chili will really stand out!

Chef Dolores served some wonderful chili for our dinner. The secret ingredient was 3/4 of a can of pizza sauce left over from the pizza we had yesterday.

I eat what my wife cooks and she does a very good job!

It's been a long time since I've made chili.  Spicy peppers, unique ingredients, tri-tip and (of course) good beer.

A combination of bell pepper, poblano, jalapenos, onions and garlic.

I make mine with ground turkey and no beans - 

Ahhh, chili on a cold day. That could work.

My crowd pleaser is not the chili but the side.

The side is skillet cornbread of either orange zest or jalapeno, but never the two severed within the same bread.

Sorry, Nick.... I don't eat chili.... I like the way it looks and smells but it's very high in carbs with beans.... and a cup is almost 300 calories.. 

It's not in our normal food courses.

It starts with a large crock pot, and many good things thrown in the night before...

No recipe but a good chili cooperates with the mouth and thereafter

I say it is in the meat, so I chop up sirlion.  Glad you ask this, I have a chili cook off Feb  1.

My wife’s secret ingredient is.....Chocolate!!! But it must be dark chocolate. I don’t know how, but it works

Coffee, beer, hot chilies and fresh, sweet corn, shaved off the cob! I also use both ground sirloin and sausage. 

I cook mostly Russian food.

Around Denver, we generally have green chile, and have several containers in my freezer when it gets cold.

My wife does the cooking and Kidney beans are a high priority

I am a vegetarian and I love it HOT.  The peppers and the spices are what make my chili stand out.

I prefer white chili since I don't eat red meat and don't use a recipe so it's different every time. I don't use a lot of beans and like to make it in the slow cooker.

Wild rice.

I don't like mine with ground beef (or turkey) I like cubed steak and some sort of spicy sausage (whatever I can find)  It cooks down to a melt in your mouth texture. 

My chili recipe comes down to being married to a terrific chef.

Congee with hot sauce.

Hard to say, as I "make it up" as I go along each time I make chili. I do use some cinammon and I sautee my onions and peppers before putting it into the mix and into a slow cooker. I don't use a lot of beans and I like it spicy.
