I am very selective about my news sources.  There is so little journalism these days. It ALL comes from an editorial point of view.  I watch the Doppler Map on weather.com. That's about the most impartial news I can find. 

And, furthermore, I'm not only disgusted by the lack of journalism, I am disgusted by many of the commercials which are inappropriate for unfiltered airways.

Having been trained in journalism, I can say that I'm with Carol Williams .  There is no real journalism anymore.  It's talking heads repeating this side's, or that's, take on a story.  There is no digging for facts, just proving one side wrong or right.  It's manufactured crap to keep Americans at odds with one another. 

Like Annette Lawrence , Palm Harbor, FL 727-420-4041 , I am a much happier person, with a much more positive outlook, since ditching "the news."

Maybe 30 minutes of local news. Primarily for local updates and weather.

I banned CNN and the masses from my TV when the media obviously moved to the business of pushing for particular political candidates (both sides). This is not true journalism in my opinion.

For the last six weeks, by deliberate choice, I listen to NO NEWS.

And like magic the news found me anyway. Something about a State of Emergency. Oh dear!.

The difference is, for the last six weeks, have have asserted my authority regarding those things on which my mind and spirit feed.

When one chooses NOT to sit in the lap of manipulation and betrayal, the resulting vitriol of resentment, ebbs.

That doesn't mean I won't call it as I see it.

ZERO, ZILCH WATCHING.  We cut cable years ago, and have not missed anything.  Regardless of which channel you watch, they are all geared to selling ads with scary headlines, and graphic videos.

 We have the news via Reuters which is where all the networks get their news and embellish them...I have weather on my phone, and when I look out the window. A

Well you know, I come from that world. And it's no world that I currently recognize. Journalists investigated, found facts and presented them objectively for the audience interested in knowing truth. Anything less than that was grounds for dismissal and Blacklist from the industry.

The shark was jumped probably in the early 90s, and Pandora and her demons have left the box and the building.

I watch very little news because it's the quickest way to inject poison into your soul, and at the same time I do want something to make fun of which neutralizes that toxicity.

If you're a chicken little, stay far away from the news.

If you have the ability to think for yourself, take it in small doses.

First off there is no real news coming from any national outlet, it is all opinion... meaning them shoving their opinion down our throats. I use to love watching my local news to fnd out what happens local. But the buy out of local stations, now they are shoving their politics on local news too. I like to dvr it and fast forward through the mud

None.  I get my news from FB feeds, online newspapers, Accuweather, news portals, etc.  I pick up everything I need/want to know.

If an individual is too much politics on FB, they'll get filtered out.
Someone pushes too many memes without humor, gone.
Those folks don't get space in my head.
