This is the stuff of full blog posts and I'm not writing one here. I will say, however, that grey remains a popular color and white kitchens seem to be back in and wide plank flooring remains a preferred choice.

Light colors with a splash for accent. I think we are in a transition period right now and I am not sure what will pop to the top next

For color it is shades or gray here in NH. White cabinets seem to be increasing. Brushed nickle is the choice of fixtures

50 shades of gray, 5+ inch dark hardwoods, quartz, wide-open interior spaces, white kitchens and lavish hardscaping are what is appealing to my buyers here in Charlotte right now!

On new constuction, Quartz or cement counter tops and light grey on white trim both inside and out rather than a builder beige interior. Wide engineered wood floors with a scalloped surface rather than actual hardwood.

No real trends. Some are painting oak kitchen cabinets white, replacing brass door knobs and light fixtures with a variety of other colors and designs, some are using restoration hardware, more 2 person shower stalls and less soaking tubs, more buyers want main level master bedrooms, wider doorways to allow for wheel chairs, etc. A lot depends on the location and price. Higher end homes use more brick and stone inside and out, and more custom trim, etc. Open floor plans are still preferred.

All that glistens is not gold, but gold accents are coming in at a very high price.
Colors tend to be neutral with a 10% pigment to create the accent wall. This looks fantastic as a ceiling treatment.
Floors.....the scraped look, and barn doors are THE THING. Here in Florida, tile or hard surfaces materials are preferred, even in bedrooms.
The word in the industry is buyer resistance to big voluminous open spaces. I have not seen the alternative. However, good retakes of the integrated seating in the kitchen are very promising.
Cabinets are strictly budget and community ceiling based. Lowe's and Depot white preferred. Modified come in at +40% in cost. Custom is +60% of big box stuff. White and stainless still rule. Get above 500K and custom and cherry are predominate.
HVAC. Big trend is retrofitting attic blankets. This is a process where the insulation is fixed to the underside of the roof decking, not laid on top of the ceiling. This makes an INCREDIBLE difference in cooling cost.
FOlks like the idea of ductless cooling (converters) but object to the wall wart. It still an INVESTOR thing for holding they don't live in.
Although owners are proud to run a TRANE, I advise it is exactly the same machine as the one branded American Standard.....and owned by the same people.

Grey colors, white shaker cabinets and it's moving towards the grey floors from the brown. Basically, what you see on TV. I doubt there are many regional differences these days, as those flipping shows tend to set the style. I do notice that "Chip and Jo-Jo's" style is starting to have run it's course.

White kitchens are fading out and those who have all white are changing the center islands to a darker charcoal gray and I have seen some great navy blue islands.
Pattern tiles for backspashes and bathroom flooring are seen a lot. Industrial look kitchens softened with hues of baby blue cabinets are some of the designs I have seen as well.
Wallpaper is also coming back - some of it is okay, but I am having a hard time enbracing this look.
I think its all personal taste...
