It is hard to answer your question.  We know that high producing agents have to have support - but if that comes from the brokerage, a co-representing agent, a licensed or unlicensed assistant, or a "team," the answer varies as much as there are varied personalities and work styles.

I have a business partner and a lic assistant (currently on maternity leave so I'm the paperwork  person at the moment).

In our office I would estimate that about 60 to 65% of the agents either have a team or are on a team.

I didn't have an assistant or a team until late in my career.  That said, I ALWAYS had back up to cover for me when I was away.
