My insurance covers those cleanings.
The rest of your question I'm not certain I grasped. I may need to chew on it with my pearly whites!😁
I also religiously rinse with peroxide before brushing my teeth every single day.

Let's see nine out of ten dentists recommend Colgate. Do you really think they mean that toothpaste specifically, Paul? Apples and oranges. And it's not just a fruit salad. So many variables.

I do the same, Paul and it is interesting that if I have work to be done, I often negotiate a better price - I ALWAYS ask, "Can we take ___% off - I referred you guys ___ & ___!?"

I've just been to the dentist for a cleaning and have not found the price outrageous. People try to negotiate our fees because they think of us as a commodity that doesn't bring value to the table. My listing presentation is all about what value I add that no one else does and I rarely get someone who wants a discounted fee. And if they ask, I just say no.

My dentist and her staff are all women. After years of male dentist's hands in my mouth (and pocket) the cost is no longer a concern and virtually a painless ordeal.

We see the dentist 3 times each year for cleaning and check ups. We use Delta Dental for our insurance coverage. It was recommended by our dentist.

I'm looking like a chipmunk right now and for another 5 days before the antibiotics do their job!!! Don't talk to me about dentists: not covered with our Canadian healthcare which is just ridiculous and far more expensive than in the US

I go to the dentist every 3 or 4 years. I haven't had a cavity since I got my braces off when I was 12 and my dentist says it's fine that I don't come any more often because I never have tarter built up. Peroxide and baking soda and water-pik daily are my key.

I do not understand the balance of your question.

Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, CRS I'm a little confused by your question (did you proof read it)? When I worked with Buyers they knew they weren't paying me. When I worked with Sellers it was because they knew I'd get the job done. My commission rarely came up because I told them without being asked right off the bat. Is that what your question was?

what we do is not so simple....huge liability with real estate.... we deserve to be paid well and there is no negotiating that amount with us....

For some reason, people have a hard time figuring out how to pay for 'time'. Your example of a dentist - would I want to clean my teeth? No way. Would I even attempt to do my own fillings in my garage or kitchen? No way.
For some reason, we have to get that across right away that you are a giant knowledge sponge that also can open a door to let them in.

Quite a few learn they got what they paid for. You pay for cheap you get cheap that could cost you tens of thousands in the end. I did wish it was not this way

There is a difference between negotiation and letting clients walk all over us.
I stick to my guns and only negotiate FOR my clients, never WITH them.
As far as dentistry, you may want to fly on down to Texas and walk across the border for great service and super low prices, I know many people who do this.

Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, CRS I visit my dentist a few times annually. Some dentists are better than others.

I go to the dentist three times a year, but I'm covered under my husband's insurance and the price is reasonable. But I'll probably start going less often since we won't have that great coverage once he retires.
1,555,100
I get the "cash rate" because my insurance doesn't cover the dentist I use so I dropped dental insurance a couple years ago. Major stuff deriving from any accidents would be covered by my regular insurance.
Funny thing is, my dentist's prices are less than what my prior dentist charged AFTER insurance! Much better care and you see the dentist, not some assistant or showing agent.

The spending of Thousands of dollars scares people and the fear of getting ripped off another fear. With teeth cleaning, you know where you stand
1,713,581
I go 4 times a year and my dentist is young and hip and does an upfront pay system that is reasonable and includes xrays twice a year.
