Land is at a premium. New construction is desirable but not as readily available here as in other markets.

No. I'm in California. Too much red tape. Take 10 years or longer to get the approval once you check for a slew of endangered bugs and reptiles, do traffic studies, environmental impact reports, get through all the local government regulations...

The downtown Chicago condominium market for new construction has slowed a bit and some projects are now stalled. As for apartments, coming out of the ground like weeds!

It's been pretty active for 5+ years now with a couple of large planned communities in my town (1 is now about sold out, only resales) but with a number of smaller collections of homes and townhomes ready t obuy and being built.

No, it's as steady as ever since it heated up in 2013.
Home additions and updates is heating up since folks can't afford to move up given it'll cost them all their gain+ from their sale.

Not at all. In order to build something the developer have to buy and demo the existing real estate.

It never cooled down here in NH. There is a shortage of it and most hmes being built are upscale leaving anyone wanting a starter home in the cold

New construction has picked up. Yet, not enough houses are being built to accommodate buyers demands. We still have an overall inventory shortage.

Yes. It has been hot for a while now. They can't keep inventory homes very long. Builders weren't sure what spring was going to be like and now we have buyers who need homes before school begins. Unfortunately, a lot of builders won't have any until August/September. Parents want to move here this summer!

It's been HOT for a while now, maybe the last 4 to 5 years, especially from the low $900's to just over $2M.

New construction has been hot in my area for most of the 20 years I've been here except for a few when the market went sideways.
