I stopped trying to persuade people to move here a long time ago. There is not enough money in being a tour guide. If they have not already decided to make the change then they are back burner. The agents i know who love acting like tour guides don't really make much money.

What can you provide that can't be found everywhere else?  Personalicazation is important.  Not all buyers are the same.  Some want it all.  For others specifics to their needs are important.  Often people don't know what they need until given something that sparks their own fire.  Good luck.

Interesting question that evokes good discussion. There is no substitute for actual first-hand experience i.e. visiting the area, seeing/hearing sights and sounds and even watching the coming and goings on as well as speaking with the neighbors. I always notice cars, lawns and pride of ownership plus street conditions and landscaping. Noise and privacy is a big issue also

I am a member of the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce and they provide a fabulous packet for newcomers to the area. I tweak that packet a bit and put the information in a nice package for them. I just got out of a Closing for a relocation client and we sat in the attorney's conference room for quite awhile and I took that opportunity to ask what else they would like to see in the packet!
