Artificial intelligence is a joke. they can't get spellcheck, voice to text, or operating systems to work properly and they expect us to believe they are on the verge of creating AI.
Our business is safe.

That is a big question. Right now real estate is hot. There is money to be made with a minimal of effort. That scenario is ripe for corporate involvement. What happens when the market turns? When it gets harder and more costly to sell, corporations may find it difficult to justify their involvement. They may remove themselves.

Even if the process is mostly automated, they may find other ventures to make more money. I have sold properties where I made only a few hundred dollars. I did it because it was a piece of the pie. I am not sure that a corporate brokerage could support such a small commission.

1. Only if we let it...if you rely on big business to generate your business, very possibly BUT those agents who adapt and adjust will be fine.

2. Our world has become so impersonal and continues to be more so every day so there will always be a place for the personal touch, not just in real estate. We need to learn to use AI to our advantage rather than being intimidated by it.

If you think you are doomed, you are.

Can't say I've given this a lot of thought. I'll be long retired by the time this comes around, if it comes around. In a sense, companies like RE/MAX, Coldwell Banker, Keller Williams, Century 21 and some of the huge brokerages in NYC are already "big business."

Advancing technology will continue to allow these companies to infiltrate more of our collective market share (real estate & mortgage professionals). It is best not to underestimate these companies who are fueled by deep pocketed investors...especially if they successfully convince our future clients that we are overpaid and/or unnecessary (and/or that their technology process is more consumer-friendly).  Perception is reality, and the Consumer is the one who gets to decide what they perceive.

There will still be Clients who appreciate our personable service, the question is what percentage of total market share this population will represent.

It will not end. However, the big business to which you refer will dig their hands deeper into agents pocket and make it increasingly difficult and expensive for the agent to connect with the home owner/buyer.

I think it will come to pass.  It will be a fad and people will use it with disasterous results.  Then it will fade away.  May take a few years for the cycle to fully happen, but agents will never be out of the picture.  There will always be a need for real intelligence... until SkyNet takes over and wipes us all out...

Big business and artificial intelligence will change the business, but not take over.  When the internet was invented, people said that would take over the business.  It has undoubtedly changed the business, but there are still agents who go door-to-door.

I think Darwin said something like, it's not the smartest or even the strongest who survive, it's those that are most adaptive to change.

The industry will have to adapt to artificial intelligence and big business just like it had to adapt to the internet.  But the industry will not disappear because of it.

For about 10 years. Robots are doing open house. 1% solution is getting bigger force #1 in America taking concessions.

AI has been around for 30 years. With better internet these SQL queries, image recognization database get everything blown out of proportion.  The theories have been around for decades.
