I will not be taking a month off but I am taking two weeks off soon. I will be able to stay in touch by laptop and cell phone. I have Team back-up if needed.
Perhaps the baby will have grown a little by the time I return.

Your business is always your baby, and the abundance, prosperity and wisdom it contains is a direct result of the nurturing you provide. Does it grow up and go off to college, and leave you alone to do your thing while still providing blessings? Of course. If you raised it right!

People and the business they are in tend to be the same dynamic. A person should always be current in their business even slightly ahead (trends) and keep up to date about events in general. This makes for more effective-ness

I had three "babies" and nothing will ever replace them or be on the same level as they....
my business was always important to me and I ran it like a business...a well-oiled machine.... and I passed it along to my daughter to run.... it's an entity that can be replaced and/or sold or passed on to family....

The goal should be that your business becomes able to generate for itself & a lesser need for nurturing. Systems make that easier to do. That's why I think that teams have become so popular. Each individual is a segment that should generate for the whole.
Bee hive being an excellent example.

I've taken a month off while undergoing cancer treatment. That year was one of my highest producing years. When we have a niche the business is always there.

I am quite thankful for our company's forward-thinking regarding opportunities for our agents in all aspects of life.
If an agent is not willing to grow they will soon be out of business

I don't take a month off. Never have in my life whether self-employed or a corporate executive. Why would I start now? And business needs a level of daily caring and feeding no matter how mature.

Yes, but at least Chris had some unique questions (or at least further down the list than our two trust account questions), much like Dion does.

Referrals, website inquiries and other passive lead gen will go on but if more is needed then you got to nurse that baby.

Our baby still needs lots of nurturing. Perhaps a few days off, but certainly not a month.

My baby was making others better. Some thrived and some perished, just like in nature!

Of course it is my baby, a 30+ year old baby that is doing much better on it's own than it used to before we had the staff and systems in place.

Transitioning from earned income to passive income is possible through real estate for the individual. The sooner you begin investing the earlier you'll see the debt service fade away and one less piece of the expense sheet that can change your life for those month long getaways! Now let's consider the appreciation ........

Have treated my business as a top priority. Have nurtured it to its present state, laughed with it, cried, celebrated, had proud moments, experienced disappointment but have not taken a month off, ever. Will have time for that later!

I'll go with Candice A. Donofrio on this one along with Barbara Todaro . Biz is biz and it follows biz rules. It does take constant create to keep it there but it is possible to pull in great people who keep it there with you and for you to free up ones time for other things. I did manage to take 22 months off for a personal project - biz did go down and my income reduced but it kept going through out and I was able to keep it going with about an hour a week of my time.
