I hope it works better than the National Do Not Call List.

Unfortunately these measures only harm honest companies, the politicians, fake charities and other scammers will be immune.

I hope this also includes those who use Sly-Dial Ron and Alexandra Seigel . I am so sick of those calls from "the lending department" .... blah, blah, blah.

I saw the article yesterday.  We shall see. And hope. I do wonder what may be the next tactic.

They have the deal, but now have to develope the technology. No slow down in todays calls.

Heard it this morning but really didn't listen as to when it would all happen. Can't wait.

So glad Ron and Alexandra! I just received a call from a company this morning who wants to forgive my student loans - mine are paid off!

Thankfully, Ajit Pai, Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission is combatting unlawful robocalls and malicious caller ID spoofing as a top priority as well!

Had one this morning...Why? Lets have this stop already

It's about time. 

48 billion devided by 280 million equals calls to each phone.

Let's see if the "I'm here to help" people build in a loop-hole that allows them to robo call.

"How are we supposed to reach the voters without robo?"
They aren't so smart. Twitter of course.

That would be like a giant dose of Alka Seltzer... "Oh what a relief it is."   

Well, reading is one thing.  The intent is another. Actually making this happen ...  we will see. 

Is it to the benefit of the telecommunication providers, who have promised to reduce it, to reduce their paying customers' calls?

I saw the news articles and heard the talking heads discussing it. I'll wait to see if it actually happens. 

Music to my Ears!  I am so tired of all the robo calls ... such a waste of our time.  It will be interesting to see if it really happens!  Time will tell the real story.  

Or ... what will be the next interruption to our day-to-day business?

It is government work which means the process will be slow and painful as we continue to receive calls! Remember the "National do not call list"? The exceptions, let me count the ways!

Heard this on the news. It's long overdue

I did hear that this week. I am not holding my breath until I see results. I do hope it works because I received calls about self employed insurance coverage everyday this week. I keep telling them I am already covered, but they keep calling...Every. Damn. Day!

Sounds good, but I wil believe it when I see it!! THe DNC list is a joke so I hope this is something that will actually work. Thanks for the update!

Wow, that is a great news!

I recall one day I had received 7 back to back robo calls. The following call came from an out of state area code that I didn't recognize. 

Me: "OK what are YOU selling?"

Her: "Ummmm... nothing? I was hoping you could help me sell my home."

Of course I was totally mortified. But this is what these robo calls are doing to fairly sane people. We are becoming pretty pissed off after being poked and prodded on our own communication devices relentlessly.

Thankfully she started laughing and I ended up listing 5 of her investment properties. But those robo calls could have potentially cost me $35,000 in commissions if the seller hadn't of seen the humor in the situation.

I will believe it when wee start seeing a reduction in these harassing calls.

I would LOVE this to be the miracle cure, but I've seen, too often, that the mouse adapts whenever we manage to build a better mouse trap.
