Yes ours has Will Hamm but lately it seems to be on a bit of a rebound. I'm very pleased with the content of the Minot Daily News.

Yes, over the years...It's rather sad but it's interesting to see the re-emergence of weekly community newspapers in some areas.

If ours gets any smaller, it will be a trifolded brochure/leaflet. I kid you not. It's been pathetically small for the last 15 years. Never been the same once Gannett took over The Courier-Journal.

We have a hometown paper?  One or two get tossed on my driveway each week on trash day.  They go straight into whatever trash can is on the curb.

Yes, it's pathetic. Very little news. Mostly ads. No paper on Monday or Sunday (the Sunday paper is delivered on Saturday).

We do have two wonderful monthly publications. One is business oriented and the other is a local lifestyle publication.

Newspapers unfortunately have been on a steady decline. When I was a kid my Dad brought home the paper & I used to love reading through it. We had the Daily News or NY Post in NY. When I was in college we were told we should have a subscription to the Wall Street Journal which was also good reading. Nowadays I, like many, opt to get my news elsewhere.

Ours gets a little smaller every year and the cost gets higher each year. There is an online version but I rarely use it due to all the ads and the videos that slow your computer while loading.

I've never taken the paper but I assume you're right. I did used to by my bride the Sunday paper with her coffee, as she enjoyed reading it (when she was home on Sundays) but with her work schedule not even that happens. Even though my first job ever was a paperboy in the 1970's, I never cared about news papers, I got my news from TV back then and now I'm on a news fast the last 10 years. My friends and colleagues share what matters and my heart and mood stay upbeat.

Our town news is online and only a few articles at a time. It is free. We do have the Raleigh New & Observer. I read some of their stuff online. I imagine it is smaller. We subscribe to the Wall Street Journal and that's the only newspaper we have delivered. We have local magazines you can subscribe to as well.

When I lived in CO, I really enjoyed having both the Denver Post and Rocky Mountain News. RMN went away quite a while ago when I was there.  Our local paper publishes only on Sat and Wed, with social media updates as news breaks.  I think most local papers are getting smaller, not just in pages, but staffing too.

I see newpaper reporters are out of work. In fact I met a guard she used write syndications for real estate. Now she carries two clips never fire once yet.   I thought Chicago Tribune has a FSBO business that advertises MLS listed home with a Supra for $350 per home.
