OK . . . I actually love crappy MLS photos as a buyer's agent. Buyers will go right past it if it doesn't please the eye. We can then go in and negotiate with less competition.
I would let it goooooooooooooooooo, let it goooooooooooooo. . .

Is it photoshopped or do you mean the distortions from the fish eye lens? There was an agent in my office who thought that was cool no matter what we used to say.
We can report if we think their photo enhancements turn into fraud. No 'ugliness' button available.

I've reported many things in the past 4 years. I've reported things to the state department of real estate, I've reported stuff to our board. It's never once done any good. I've since turned in my "MLS Police" badge.
Distorted or heavily doctored photos are not even a violation. I'd let it go and keep my eyes on my own paper, as Nina Hollander often says.

that's why we have hired a professional photographer to do all of our listings.... even twilight shots of the home.... we pay for 140 photos .... 280 of them when we do twilight photos, too....
unless one knows how to properly use settings on a camera, the photos are horrible.... "the eye buys" and it's easier to hire a professional .... then there's never an issue.

If it is just the lens that is used, then I would have to let it go because it is an equipment effect. If it is grossly photoshopped then that would potentially be misrepresentation and a violation.

Going too wide is difficult to mask and when I see it I can only imagine the true dimensions. If the photos don't reveal the actual views within reason then it should be followed up on in my opinion.

It is what it is. I wouldn't exactly respond well if someone commented that way on one of my listings. Without seeing photos, I don't know what you mean by "heavily photo shopped" or "distorted." Someone else might think otherwise. This kind of stuff can be very subjective. Have you been asked for feedback because you showed the listing? If not, I'd definitely stay out of it. Now, if you showed the listing and your client said the property looks nothing like the photos and if your client had known that he/she would not have looked at that home, then I'd send feedback (again if asked for it).

NO ONE cares what real estate agents think. However the vanity within many agents suggests they can be manipulated by offering pejorative commentary.
However, the PUBLIC doesn't care a hoot what a agent thinks. After all, whether PS'D or not, they will say "It doesn't look like the pictures."

If the agent is a Realtor, they may find themselves as a respondent in an Ethics hearing regarding a violation of Article 12 of the Code of Ethics. Not presenting a true picture (no pun intended) in their advertising.
3,210,559
I let it go. Because time and time again I've sold a house that was on the market for a long time and had really crappy photos and was reduced and reduced and reduced when good marketing would have sold it sooner and for more. I like when my buyers get those bargins.

I showed one that was so photshopped and it looked good on line. It was a tear down in reality.

Not a fan of fish eye lens and other techniques that make something look significantly different than what it looks like when you get there. In my opinion it's a poor strategy. Having look worse when you get there doesn't usually "help" sales.
