That is very hard to answer... it depends on the technology... some need more of a learning curve than others.

Depends on the person and the technology. And how many truly become experts?

I am quicker than most at tech issues.

I cannot claim to be an expert in any field of technology. I know enough to accomplish what I need to in come cases and enough to be dangerous in others.

Apparently it takes me decades.

Depends on whether it is user-friendly, intelligence factor of said user and the user's desire to learn. Not necessarily in that order Peter!

It depends.  Expert - more like mastering what I need to know. 

It depends on what the technology and use is.

Oh man, I'm not technologial at all. I try to avoid anything of that nature, pen and paper still works for me.

I'm not a fan of the word "expert".... overused by those who are nowhere near it....

Don't know. Never got to the expert level in any technology.

Depends on how much you use it.

Depends on the technology, it's difficulty level, what prior experience I have that I can leverage, my time to learn it, how well the instructional materials are, and so on and so forth.

Example: when I switched from Microsoft Office to a competing product, it was a much quicker learning curve than when our company upgraded to the office version with the ribbon toolbar.

We don't buy what we cannot easily master...Professionals are much cheaper than tech rage and aggravation, let alone time wasted.  A

Learning never stops.  Often remedially and repeated.

I have enough trouble just remembering all my damn passwords! LOL

I tend to catch on quickly; having said that, I am not the early adoptor of shiny things that I had been in past years . . .

I beleive one must be called (passionate) for this subject matter. Try as one may...this stuff is too complex and has pandora boxes & rabbit holes

Expert is level 4, one capable of emulating and enhancing what already exists. They are able to take their subject on a linear path of more than 3 points.

Craftsman, the creator, is level 5.

Contemporary definition of EXPERT means I can get my task and my task only done in a reasonable amount of time. I'm an expert at clicking PRINT.

I can use AI to print an awesome image on paper...an expert in a few minutes.

However the same task and same tools engaged in a task requiring color separation, pantone matching, gamma correction, ICC profile substitutes and substrates of variable permeability suggest expert has different qualifications althogh clicking PRINT is the same.

To the master craftsman. the learning is never over. 

PS: We have all been witness to EXPERT useage of duct tape.

I would never use the term expert rather informed user.

Technology is always updating and advancing. I don't know if we ever truly become an expert. However, it depends on the technology. Some is more complicated while others are intuitive.

Expert, I don't think any of us become an expert.  Pretty good, not that long, great somewhat within a few months but nowhere near an expert and I personally am better than average, expert, no way and nowhere close.

I don't know, did not purchase any lately.

Never fully... and then there are updates and so on...

I generally adapt fairly quickly to technology, but I don't strive to be an expert at technology, I strive to give excellent customer service by the best means possible to buyers and sellers.

The last piece I bought into was a stabilization bar for videos, and have used it A LOT in my neighborhood videos.
