The idea of a foreign editing company doesn't sound appealing at all. 

No clue... and don't care. I have no interest in editing companies, foreign or local.

At first, I suspected that YOU might actually be a foreign editing company trying to pump up some business or yourself, but your profile says that you're a virtual staging company.

If the marketer wants to speak the language of their tribe, an editor in Bangalore may not be the right idea.

The editor in China will simply run it through Google translate. Now you know why so many user and installation manuals from China are nearly worthless. Be aware, anything sent to China becomes Chinese intellectual property, not yours.

The editor recently out of public high school will be to PC frightened to create a CTA.  How every, such an editor will present insight on how the selected words translate in a PC perverted world.

HOWEVER, if the job at hand is the academic editing of one's authoritative BOOK, one could save some money using the English as 1st language folks in Bangalore. At least these folks will actually READ the book and insure THERE and THEIR appear properly.

I went to a catholic gradeschool where I learned good English grammer...yet I would never consider editing for a foreign country.

Someone that does not speak English as a first language is not someone that I would want to edit anything I write.

NO ..... let me be clear .... NO. I had an unfortunate experience with a website product that used virtual assistants from the Philippines. When they got done with my website you never would have known I had graduated 5th grade. 

Incomplete sentences, misspelled words, grammatical errors - it was awful. So, lesson learned, hire someone here. Maybe use Fivr.

I imagine the word "efficient" may need some further clarification as how you interpret it.  Cost effective/efficient?  Better for your own business model?  Quite frankly, this is beyond my knowledge but on the surface there can be advantages/disadvantages to many of life's decisions when one can step back and truly analyze them.

What are you trying to edit?

An editing co.? Where is the need for such a thing in the real estate business? I've just never heard of anyone using one. 

I know many people who do for content writing.  It's usually much cheaper ($5 for 1,000 words) than hiring a US based writer and most have a good grasp on the english language and a college degree.  As with any writer, you will need to proof what they write, and some are better than others.

Take a look at the emails you get from the foreign shops, notice any reasons why they may be a poor choice to edit your documents?

Try Craiglist some English majors need extra money. $15-17 bucks an hour etc.

For photo editing, there are numerous companies that provide decent photo editing software. I edit my own photos.
