Yes, I was on one yesterday. It was from Tom Ferry. It's always worth it. Just look for that one 'nugget' that can help your business.

Leave your email & I'll send you stuff I have. AR System won't let me send you attachments.

If they are free, they are typically "worth" it.  Many free seminars are attempting to attract you to the paid series so they will entice you with a few takeaway nuggets of valuable information.  Beyond that, self-restraint is a good tool for you.  In real estate and in real life.  Choose wisely.  Find the right fit.  Look for the right connections.   Good luck.

Are they online workshops? I've signed up for a few in the past. Some are worthwhile and some are not. I just click out if I get bored.

I havent' gotten those emails yet.  Some are better than others, but there is usually a nugget or two you can pull from them.  Just don't sign up for the programs unless you REALLY want to.  Most will give you a deal after the expiration window ends.

You need to be way more specific about what they offer to comment on their value. I participate and in some cases run many Networking groups; not workshops.

Business planning workshops are only as valuable as the person delivering the content. What have they done? What have they accomplished? Is that in alignment with your goals for 2020?

Sherlock Holmes when investigating anything or on a case got all his clues, discovery and shopped for works (workshops) as he went and wherever he was. One thing led to another. Find and then follow your own paths which will do the same. What are we looking for is a good question. Go from there

I have not participated in any.  There is a couple of networking groups in our town where they allow only 1 realtor (only one of any business type) .

There is a fee to participate.  They meet monthly for breakfast or lunch. The idea is you can gain business from other business owners in this group.

If you can fit them into your schedule then soak in a bit of knowlege, especially the free workshops.

Goal setting.  Go if free.

Years ago broker hires you make you sign a goal plan.  The min requirement is get 1 listing, and sell 2 as condition each month for employment.  Then almost all agents have to pick up their children or sick at review time.  They review the results each quarter.

Is it worth it?

NOTE: amateurs give advise, professionals diagnose.

As a professional I would need to ask more questions to deliver the right diagnosis.

In the end you will conclude/diagnose that you can not spend small and expect a big result.

Is it worth it? I don't know without asking 'What is your desired future state?"

What does that look like? Let's say Jennifer's goal is to increase GCI by 100% to the $500,000 level a $250,000 increase.

The key to determining the level of worth/value to you is your response to 'Will you spend $30.000 to receive a $250,000 increase?"

You can not spend small and expect big results.

90% of real estate agent are amateurs. They think small. They spend small and they don't get on board with the program and end up saying, 'Well it didn't work for me."

Just be careful when trolling for advise.
