I do it with nothing after 6pm.
I have 2 meals a day between 8-9 am and 2-3 pm . . .
Each is between 300-400 calories.
I am pretty austere. But I fudge on tequila. LOL

My son does intermittent fasting but, I'm not sure the hours he abstains from eating.
I have tried it but, only recently and haven't really created a habit just yet. Right now my dining hours are 7AM to midnight!!

It's unhealthy for the active, nope. I do cleanses, but fasting is a no no per my holistic nutritionist, doctor and trainer.
That said, no eating anything after 7:00PM - 5:00AM is and I regularly follow that regimen with 6-8 hours sleep in those hours too.

I am as far from being a health addict as one could imagine. Although, I have heard/read about intermittent fasting, I have not participated as of yet. That said, I don't late night eat any longer but still eat two or three mostly healthy meals a day.

Yep, we eat first meal at either 10 or 11 - no more eating after 5:30 or 6:00 PM. Protein and carbs from fruit and veggies only. Bernie adds some sweet potatoes and squash to his regime. Not me. Sometimes, I'll do a longer fast and sip bone broth. Longest fast was 2 days, water only and herbal tea - nearly 3 as I didn't eat until dinner on the 3rd day. Felt oddly giddy and energized. Bernie said I was high on water. Lol.

I have a decent breakfast about 10-11 a.m. to replenish my work-out and break a fast. Then, the main meal comes around 1-2 p.m. followed by a light meal 2 hours later and I am done for the day. this system keeps my metabolism running high too. If one doesn't address carbo, fat and protein correctly you find yourself snacking because you crave whats missing. Experimentation gets it right. Now, to work on getting good rest

While I'm no "health addict," I've been doing the 16 hour fasting/8 hour eating plan. The time of day when I start eating is flexible and dependent upon when I eat my last meal the previous day but typically I eat my first meal at 10 or 11 AM.

Yes, Barbara, I have done Intermittent Fasting. My window for eating was 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. I found it effective in getting me off the evening snack train.

While I'm certainly not a health addict, I do intermittent fasting when I've gained a pound or two (or six). Typically I eat in a 8 hour window but it stretches to 10 when I'm up very early.

Read about it but have not tried it yet. I have 3 meals per day, nothing after 6 pm. However, I'm a chocaholic and just need to have a chocolate bar every night. Because of my fattening habit, I had to go and buy a new pair of pants, oh my! I swear, I will change...

I am familiar with the no meat on Fridays fasting, not so much a health addict thing but it is popular with Catholics.

I have only eaten one meal a day for at least 40years now. Usually it would be the evening meal. Never had any desire for food during the day; used to drive my Mother crazy when I was a kid! Made no difference if it was high protein, low carb or any other style of eating. Weight training or aerobic training. That's just me!

When we finish dinner, we don't have snacks. And quite often we don't eat breakfast either until lunch. And we exercise...A

Our church was doing the Daniel Fasting.... for ten days you eat fruits, veges, nuts.. no carbs or alcohol. Easy to do. Instead of sweets I've been eating dates and love them.

I've heard about this new fasting method. I'm not a breakfast person and don't like to eat later than about 5 or 6 pm and avoid snacks after that and that's as far as I can go on that. I do know someone who has been following this method and has lost quite a bit of weight.

I have been checking that trend out Barbara Todaro , but i feel starving after 4 hours between Breakfast and lunch. I have been doing a much better job with eating better and less though but i am not sure about straving myself. Food use to be my stress relief

I fast on a reasonably regular basis.
However, it is not for 'health addicts' purposes.
The intent of fasting is to validate provision and in some cultures to reacquaint with suffering. That is the improper interpretation.
I find strenuous exercise creates it's own reduction in appetite. It is funny how that works.
24 hours is the fasting duration and requires no exit strategy.

Barbara I do a Absolute Fast usually on Sundays. It's no food nor water for the whole day. Yes a whole day. It's mainly for spiritual purpose. But I know its helping me be more healthy as well. It's something I've been doing for close to 19 years now.

My window for eating starts when I get out of bed.
It ends slightly before I go to bed.
(I don't like food particles in my sheets.)

I've been not eating breakfast for years. I generally eat lunch at 1:00-2:00. My wife told me about IF and tried it for a while. I guess I've been doing it forever. I'm not fit but at 5'11" and 180 pounds I'm fairly healthy.
