I'm sorry.  There are plenty of people who are interested, nay, excited to participate in a survey.  I, however, am not one of them.

I let them know, politely, that I am just not interested.

This is not a simple yes or no response in my mind.  Of course, I would be annoyed if I discovered short meant fifty questions but that's another subject.

Asking people for their time is asking a lot. Saying that, those that make it easier to give input/feedback usually get it. Consider: Subjects that people are compassionate about are more inviting. Why? People get to express passion. REMEMBER THE RULE: What's in it for me....that is what everyone wants answered and will never change. Smart operators use this wisdom wisely

Annette,

Like Roy Kelley I delete.  We are inundated with surveys on a daily basis, and I just ignore and delete.  For us it is a time waster, and I would rather walk on the beach than answer some mindless survey.  I especially like those that say this survey will take 3 minutes...Ha, Ha I was caught once.

The only ones I answer are Zappos' they actually take a couple of clicks, and Apple, has a couple of clicks.  Apple has an additional link that says if you have time, please answer further.  And since we get phenomenal service, I do when I have the time to click further...A

It depends. I won't commit much time, a few minutes at most, and I don't even open emails or ads from people or companies I don't know.

I don't mind helping at all but, make your surveys short & sweet, please!

Most of the time I do not complete a survey.

There have been times I started a "brief" survey and ended up shutting it down ... I was not brief and I lost interest.

I think I've done one or two surveys over the years.  Typically I do not do them unless they will pay me AND I can provide value.
