I did until the majority of people owned cell phones Fred Griffin Tallahassee Real Estate . If I were to purchase an 800 number today it would be for a FAX line which, again, most people would scratch their heads over that choice BUT it's because some companies still want sensitive documents faxed as opposed to being sent email. Keep in mind that I'm a loan closer these days .

I don't. When I did it did not generate many calls. Not sure my office has a toll free number... and would have no way of knowing how many calls come through to it if it did. With most people using cell phones these days, the toll free numbers are probably becoming a bit of an anachronism.

I did for 17 years.  I let the 800 number go late last year.

I got a LOT of wrong numbers at 3am from back east.

No toll-free calls since the cell phone has been in my possession and even the office phone only gains me, spammers!

We used to have an 800 number back in the day.  It went to our pager.  That was back in the days when you couldn't call from one city to the next without being charged long distance because the area code changed.  In today's telecom world where all domestic calls are billed the same, I don't see the need for a toll free number.

With most of today's mobie calling plans - the need/purpose of 800 type numbers (a free way to call into an organization) has kind of died out with age of the phone in the photo.

I don't think we have a toll-free number and even if we did, I have no idea how many calls that gets. We might have an 800 number for our fax machine but then again, I really do not know. Cell phones kind of have taken over...

No, those look too much like spam #s in today's world, in my opinion. I am reluctant to answer calls from those prefixes!

I had them years ago before everyone figred out long distance calls don't cost extra when using cell phones. I prefer to see the area code when someone calls. Toll free #s these days are usually someone trying to sell something, or Verizon reminding me my bill will be due soon. I think a business # with local area code would make more sense these days.

Before cell phones became the dominant use of communication yes we did, but just for a short while.  Didn't get that many calls on it.

I used to have an 800 # when I first relocated from Boston to CA but gave it up. My new brokerage does have an 877 # but I have no clue how often they actually get calls.

You know I don't even know anymore. Yes we have one - does it ring ever? That I do not know or have privy to that.

I used to have one myself & it wasn't too bad cost wise but no one called. I thought of something snappy to remember & still nothing so I gave it up.
