Teaching people to pass the real estate exam

If you tell people, to take the step and dive in, they don't know what to do.  As a result, they often freeze and do nothing, or fail miserably and leave the industry.

Imagine if you have never skied before, and I said, "Here are the skis, just dive in."  You would probably fail miserably, and hate skiing.  You need some direction.  Obviously, some need more direction than others, but you need some level of guidance.

Would you want a doctor who was told, "Just dive in to it.  You'll figure it out..."?  I wouldn't even want a haristylist who was told that - and that is not life-threatening.

With all due respect, "Take the step, just dive into it, things eventually happen", is terrible advice.

How about, "Find a way to learn how to do it, whether that is a teacher, a book, or some training program, and follow the program."

Building up a pipeline always seems to be the most difficult.  I remember when I first got my license I would take pretty much anything that would come my way and run with it.

I get your point, Neeraj.  It's like a tennis coach or golf pro rambling on and on about technique.  There comes a time when you just need to HIT THE BALL.

However... Real Estate Sales is not a game or a sport.  It's a professional business that exposes all parties and participants to great liability.

Before you "just dive into it", please read my post Advice for New Agents

80% ready, set, go! The 20% comes from doing. Get a coach like Buffini & Company , get a good hands-on Broker or Broker-manager.

RESEARCH YOUR MARKET.
There's a lot you do not know.
Find out who all the players are in a real estate transaction - lenders, inspectors, City and County development services, HOA management companies.
Just diving in could be costly, if you don't know the $$ implications of every aspect of a real estate transaction.
Do your due diligence BEFORE you or your clients are 'on the hook'.

If you plan to continue as a real estate investor to get in on the frontline of properties, you may want to read the code of ethics first.

There is a reason that many investors give up their real estate license...

Attitude and beliefs are going to be your biggest obstacles. Lack of respect for the learning curve another. Lastly a discipline of finishing what you start

I think you have a good attitude as long as you take the "diving in" seriously by working hard at it.
