No one that mattered. If points were their priority rather than contributing, goodbye, good riddance. I'm glad the Q&A created a natural sort & qualify to our posters. We clearly had point-whores here in the Q&A and I used to call out two of them for their one word, "why bother" answers for points.

But...I'm not hostel or bitter about it. 😆😅😂🤣

I left for close to two months.  I was right pissed.  Not as much about the points, but about how AR failed to notify anyone... all while I received MULTIPLE advert emails about Ben Kinney's latest superstar retreat seminar.  I think it was my overall disgust at NAR's "Abuse Office Exclusives to double end all listings" policy commonly known as "Clear Cooperation" that brought me back to see what was being said about that moronic policy that we should be refusing to follow because of it's direct harm to sellers and anti-competitive rules... but I digress.

 

It was the main way I earned points, so that does sting a bit as climbing that leaderboard is fun and I don't really want to waste my time doing driveby comments on robo blogs. 

 

On the bright side, I do no longer feel the need to answer every question I see and often skip many questions.

It is very much like the counting every death with C-19 died of C-19. A truly surragate endpoint.

Many have been lost. They left at a time when or after points disappeared. No one is here for the points nor left because of the points. However, they may have reached a moment of clarity as a result of this action  where a future with AR was not compatible with "TIME WELL SPENT."

I'm not aware of the change.  What is the current system for Q/A?

I did learn that they are now very generous about reporting SPAM and there doesn't seem to be a cap on that, from Valeria's Q post about a week ago.

It did not stop the drive by answers and did not stop spam. It is like it was, just without getting points for it. The point is ,that to some it does not matter but to .but others like points. There was no thought who AR would hurt who like the points for doing this. It hurts those who are both active and who take the time to leave good answers every day. The hard truth is those who frequent q and a so it because they love the interaction and like to help. It was said points were chopped to attract more consumers. The other fact is consumers can not find q and a easily and therefore rarely if ever use. The solution would be to have 2 q and a sections, one for consumers and one for Rainers. Many frequent users of q and a know to like answers that are good and give each other 50 points per day anyway. Points are an incentive to get started. The comradely with the rainers keeps us coming back.
