Don't know, but I am seeing complaints about CCleaner lately. New ones for Mac and Windows are out. I think it's by One Cleaner Pro or Cleaner One Pro?

Crap Cleaner (it's original name) has been on the naughty list for several years now because of the spyware and incresed tracking of user's habits. Bleachbit is what is currently recommended. Bleachbit also has the (infamous) distinction of being what Hillary Clinton's IT guys used to wipe her email server, which was illegally operated in violation of her oaths and federal laws... a server to which Russia and China had access to.

Oh the irony that Defender doesn't like Crap Cleaner! I stopped using it years ago & do not have a substitute.

After trying a lot of bait-and-switch websites (says, "Free" but then requires you to buy a license), and after trying some cleaners that only work on one browser,
I went back to an Older Version of CCleaner (I downloaded version 564.7613).
You can download older versions of CCleaner here

I've been using CCleaner since I started using my new laptop in January 2020. Thanks for the heads up, Fred. I will now need to find another solution as well.

I know Geek Squad used to use it when I needed a "clean-up", but have not done that for at least a year now.

For what I understand, if I do understand and that is questionable, I use IE and Chrome and I use the cleaners that come with both.
Otherwise... it's Greek to me.
