No it is not good. I have been questioning what is going on over the last year. I asked to find out, scan wise, when things were getting delivered & most everyone hangs up on me in the USPS. 

Bulk rate is not priority but I swear they drive around with them in their trucks until ??? not sure.

No, I haven't changed my mailing habits but I don't mail much except cards, etc. to clients.

same as always.  I am early ordering for Christmas because I feel most people will be shopping on line this year.

I have a client that works for the USPS.  They are slammed right now with political mailings and ballots ... so yes, it is taking longer.  Patience Grasshopper.  
Mailing early works 

Our U. S. Mail is coming later in the day. Sometimes a day later than shown on my USPS app. I mail out birthday cards to my clients. I have started mailing a day earlier than in the past...just in case.

It is a very disappointing test to mail yourself a personal letter. Have someone from a distant zip-code mail you something.
Then you can conclude, the only OFFICIAL communication channel to all forms of government is the USPS and it's broken. The citizen is 'set up' to be frustrated at every turn. I can understand the rage.
We can thank life long politicians for this outcome.
I do not mail anything that has a foreseeable shelf life. For example "respond within 30 days' is a no go while 'First 17 responses' will work.
"Just listed' no go.
"Closed in 9 days" is a Go.

Of course no need to be concerned about that mail in vote. The lifetime politicians have you covered.

Being early is always a good thing!

No it's not just you Will, we are mailing things earlier up here too. My wife will have the Christmas gifts out before the end of Nov. in hopes it will be there by Christmas.

Fortunately, I don't use mail much anymore. All my bills are scheduled online and even my quarterly taxes.  But, I will order holiday gifts early as they are likely to run out of stock.

No early mailing for me. Then again, don't do much mail!
