I live there already. Maine, the way life should be.

I love Central Oregon, although it is now becoming a bit less desirable with all the San Francisco transplants we have here.

Portugal or Italy to retire, maybe travel around. Why not?

My dream market/place to live is Kalispell Montana. Luckily I already live there, so I'm quite happy.

Clark the writer who had wealth and fame retired to a well-known island to live out the remainder of his life. I'm living there - Charlotte, North Carolina! It's a beautiful city with SO much to offer residents, from arts to sports and everything in between. We are a transient city so, we are very welcoming to our newcomers. We are 2.5 hours from the coast and 2 hours from the mountains.

As much as I love vacationing on the coast, I really do enjoy living right where I live - in a wonderful city that enjoys four seasons. 

I've done a lot of traveling around the world and have come to the conclusion there is no one ideal place. There are pros and cons to every place. I love where I live except for a window of time during the winter (when I can usually escape) and the political climate. That said, I have no plans to move. If I ever did it would be for love or in search of lost freedoms.

I would probably live overseas where my US dollars go further 😉

    As much as I love Florida, I want to go back to the Blue Ridge mountains where I lived when I was a teenager.  

    We have spent the past year looking in NC and SC for a home on acreage that backs up to a State or National Forest.  We want a rocky creek with waterfalls flowing through the property.   

    After many road trips from Florida, after previewing many, many properties, we finally found "the one".  This morning (Friday) we closed on it, we bought it!

Respectful 350 to 1 mill houses, walkable to beaches and oak canopy, climate that does not dictate when and what you can do and there IS electricty and internet. Buyer of all categories, local, relocation, corp, seasonal, retirment and foregin.
Just need to stay vigilant and keep the California Crazies on the far side of the rockies.

That would be exactly where I am in Kelowna BC. I love it here only regret is we didn't move here sooner. When winter comes we head south to our winter home in Cali another place I love and would sell Real Estate there if I was younger and not winding down.

It sure the Hell-0 is not California!!!!!!    

someplace rural just for the quiet and calm

I hate to admit it, but rustic Indiana has been a great place to grow up and for people to make a living, and since the girls remain here it will be where we will continue to live.  

I love Denver, and love to travel, so will stay put as home base, and travel again once it is safe.

My dream place was always to return to live in Paris again. But with all the civil unrest in Europe these days, I'm not sure I'd go back... no doubt life there will not be what it was when I lived there 30 years ago.

I love living and working in NH. So many people who come to vacation here come back to buy a home here. Looking into my future perhaps wintering in SOuth Florida selling new homes or condos in a oceanside location may be in my future. 

There is no perfect place except close to my grandson. Unfortunately his parents are employed in Chicago. And with the financial and civil unrest it is not ideal!

No place is perfect and certainly not year round, so I may chose 2.  Also, our country is a mess and the people are nicer in Canada. So, I may have a place in Canada for summer and home in South Florida somewhere.  I have always loved the water, so the beach would be nice + a pool in my own home there.  Real estate is pretty cheap there (and taxes too), so that money could go towards the pool maintenance.  Could not stand it there in the summer.

Nice to see so many are perfectly happy where they are!  Me too, and Maui is my dream place to live.

I live in paradise - no reason to go anywhere else!
