One of my favorite past customers was retired LADP (Gang Enforcement), and confirmed what the local PD's have told us - the SoCal gangs use the entire I-5 corridor including WA and OR; and confirmed that our industry is exposed to more danger than the popular press lets on. Thus, we picked up the WA, OR, and UT licenses; with UT giving us coverage to many more States.

Even though WA is a Constitutional Open Carry State, we don't like others to "see" if we carry, or not. Thus, the license to carry concealed; and to be able to be loaded while in our car.

One last note: our instructor pointed out statistics that show the Crime-Rate for Police officers is less than that for the general population; and the crime rate for the Concealed license holders is far less than that for the Police!

However with that in mind I do suspect that most agent who are packing ar likely in more danger of an accident with their own gun than they are from anyone else.

Will Hamm You can get shot going to the store or anywhere for that matter. The right to Carrying arms is  political and in my city a huge problem and something that has no place in the Real Estate market in my humble opinion

We know who the buyer is inside and out...we never run out to meet anyone that we don't know well.

We also have any potential buyers vetted by a mortgage broker first, before we schedule anything.

We are not an easy target...

A few years ago, we were assaulted at our local basketball game by protesters while the police just watched.  We were told that our local politicians told the police to stand down.  It was then that we realized we all need to protect ourselves so we started taking gun training classes.  We have not purchased the gun yet, but it is on our agenda.  Would I pack while showing homes?  I doubt it, but I would be very cautious about my surroundings and any potential protests.  Many of our present day protests end up including those that want to inflict damage to person and property.

Firepower of all types in the marketing arsenal to hit the real estate niche targets in the cross hairs. Not concealed and open carry with the safety off ready to bag, tag, capture the media. Oh and use "shotgun" mic for pin point accuracy sound too. Those are my rootin' tootin' "shootin' irons".
