I have not but we have heard of similar situations over the years. Seems to have quieted down since that law went into effect except for you.

I received 2 similar emails last month. They were both determined to be SPAM and after responding directly to both challenging their "findings", I never heard back from either. Just another attempt to exploit IMHO.

That "practice" has been taking place for some time now.  I get all kinds of calls and emails threatening to do various. I know where I stand therefore I know they are all scams. 

Now, however, my vehicle warranty has actually expired. Those calls are endless.

I have heard their are attorneys who make what you describe their practice. I suspect they send those letters to many agents without even doing any kind of compliance check.

Unfortuneately, the many small business owners with whom I closely work report that ADA law suits are a career for some CITIZENS.
One wheel chair bound citizen daily enters local shops for the sole purpose of finding an ADA violation from which they use their lawyer to threatend and extort. It seems these citizens can do the same now without wheeling the chair into a shop. Their version of 'online shopping.'
These folks are really targeting the FEAR our own associations have created within the real estate agent community.
Sigh, the week before Thanksgiving my phone blew up with calls from the Duke energy threatening to shut off my power. They love exploiting fear.
In the case you cite, the rising tide means you will need to hire an attorney ($1,500) to respond to the letter to find out if/what is the concern. All the attorneys are laughing on the way to the bank.

I have not, but it can be a real issue. There are individuals/groups that thrive on this form of blackmail. For example, are we supposed to provide audio for the websites for those vision-impaired? Audio for the hearing impaired? ...and so on. I remember seeing a news piece about a man, who openly lived off of suing small businesses for lack of wheelchair ramps by their stores.

I have not but if Attorneys find a niche that will hammer that nail.  A while back I received several letters about using registered pictures.  Threats were given and never followed through.

Sounds, feels and smells like a scam!  I get so many emails -- almost daily -- and for sure weekly from someone who is trying to put FEAR in me. I just hit the DELETE key. That works for me. I will not cower ...
