All I know for sure is, it won't be me doing it!  Personally, I hope companies like Keller Williams, Compass, C21, etc. all form nationally under one Broker and then keep all their listings in house, like the "clear cooperation" rule of NAR's fully allows them to do.

Warehousing is turning into a big deal and the big boys, Walmart, Costco etc. will rule undeterred Tony Lewis Technology is the wild card and we will see many breakthroughs on how personal and professional living is addressed. I once saw how Real Estate could be sold totally online with everything subject to inspection. On personal, your smart phone will do it all...use your own imagination

VR for marketing and maybe drones for live showings ~ no driving, no waisting anyone's time during house hunting. Clients will always need a concierge agent and individual service to make an informed decision, but showings can be delegated. Even now, more and more people write offers without physically touring the property. During pandemic many of my showings were via FaceTime, Skype, etc. apps., all paperwork is done digitally, funds are wired.

Alpabet and Meta will be the get keepers to block chain buying and selling.
Buyers and sellers will be anonymous and the process transparent where all offers, and responses are visible.
Your local NAR rep will be the one holding the sign.
There however is another reality. That reality is 80 percent of USA citizens will be RENTERS.
Imagine 1.5 million REALTORS competing for the remnant of the old system. The good news is agents adapted to the Bank of America caused recession and learned new tricks and the same will be true here. But getting NAR out of the way is going to prove essential.
The marketplace may recognize the Lowest Common Denominator of the existing system is unacceptable and no longer has merit to exist.
It is going to be the utopia of the socialist state. Buying and selling via block chain while never having to disconnect from the Matrix.
Red pill? Blue pill? Hmm, maybe that a bit beyond 50 years.
