CPA's are people too. After my CPA of 100 years sold his business and retired, the person who bought the business was an A$$ Hat. That sent me looking for a new CPA who turned out to be a complete idiot. 

I now once again am working with a true professional CPA. It is a father-daughter team. I am confident with their knowledge and appreciate their service.

News to me. I use the actual cost of gas to me as the business cost that I use for tax purposes, so the change makes no matter to me.

Gas up 50% and moving on up with no end in sight. And the IRS gives another 4 cents a mile. Not close but then again it is government work.

Every time the government has a problem, they raise rates, tax etc. and the poor and middle class suffer unduly. Proper management would eliminate the problem to begin with. Cut costs! Reduce pensions!  Eliminate waste. Reduce thieving. Eradicate overtime and get people involved that can balance a budget. BTW...if you saw the billions of dollars that go for nonsense, favors & "I scratch your back you scratch mine" dynamics you would be sick. Why is everyone in congress at least a millionaire?

I had not heard this until now... but I'm certain our accountant is very aware. Thanks for the heads-up. Not sure at the end of the day that this will make a serious impact on my tax bill! Certainly not as much as the cost of gas has made on my expenses. :)

No actually we’ve had several Tax Years where milage was increased mid-way in a Tax Year to reflect rising oil prices. But glad they did it again
