No, but I do think of making it a salable business.

As a sales manager, when it was over, it was over! Some of my agents worked out a referral deal that declined over time.

I think I have commented on your posts, and yes, have an agent that will take my clients over (with a referral) when I eventually go more retired.

I can't find part 1.  but my thoughts on two are positive.  It is tough to find an agent who probably wants to work as hard as you.  Its all in the numbers as everyone outside the industry thinks it is easy money.  then they get a license.

I have throughout my career.  I thought a database would have value but have determined that it doesn't have any value.  That's why we have invested in income producing properties.  This with pensions and social security will get us through.

I'm lucky. My daughter will take over my business. But she will also be raising young children when I hit retirement age. She told me she's not going to let me retire. 

Some business establish a "book" or steady clientele and as such value is established allowing one to ask for "goodwill" when selling a business. Retail operates more that way then a Real Estate business. Just random thinking
