For my real estate email, I have my license in my signature.  That way I can rest easy that my state's mandated license disclosure at the first point of contact is satisfied.  If I was was licensed in multiple states, I would list all my licenses, that way I'm not worried about attaching the right signature with the right license to an email.  That will inevitably lead to sending someone in state b you state a license by accident and potentially violating some regs or just confusing the heck out of them.

I don't include my license number in my email signature, I do not believe it is required. If you want to look me up in the AZ DRE database and SEE my license, it's public record and you can simply use my name or company name and see all the ugly truths (well I don't have any, but some do and some of those consent orders are juicy!) LOL

It's on my MLS (send from the MLS) signature, but from the mls is the only email I send to clients and that's rare.  Real estate is my "help my wife" gig after I do my real job 40 hours a week.

In CA, it is required to display our license number on any solicitation or item given to the public prominently displayed (example: business cards and flyers, to name two items but there are others).  Especially the first time dealing with the general public or individually.  Clears up any confusion with regards to people having similar names or using a nickname.  Brokers, however, must always use their legal name, for people with the lesser Salesperson license, they can use a nickname.

I’m only licensed in one state, but if I was licensed across the river too, I’d simply state “licensed in KY & IN” and include license numbers where needed.
