Fred, I do buy forever stamps and send out cards to clients every quarter, the USPS is still an affordable way to send mail and packages compared to other shipping companies.

I have used the forever stamps for quite a long time and send out between 100-200 pieces of mail each year, so not a ton, haha.

I do regularly send direct mail.  I buy forever stamps but have not stockpiled enough.  Meanwhile, I must share a recent tale from a visit to the post office where I wanted to overnight a check to a recipient two hours away.  The cost of such was shared and I agreed to it.  We completed the transaction and I was told "It should be there Friday".  I HAD IT SENT ON TUESDAY!!!!  Not sure what overnight is in their world but it aggravates me to no end to have that experience (on top of other inefficiencies) & then hear a rate hike is coming. And agents make too much???!!!!

I do buy forever stamps. I have more forever stamps than I believe I will use in my lifetime.  Years ago, Miss Nina Hollander, Broker mentioned a site to purchase stamps at a discount.

     Sure do. Farm mailing is big for harvesting listings. Those mailers stick around too. Family members reach out years later when estates happen and caller says "Found your business card in Mom's important papers stash".      

     Being right on the Canadian border with New Brunswick, lots of businesses "over home" cross the line to mail from Houlton Maine.     

     Cheaper, way faster mail service here Fred Griffin Florida Real Estate .   

     Vessey Seeds out of Prince Edward Island for instance used to mail out of Houlton ME. Another Maine border town handles the mail bag chore now, I Googled and found Mailing Address: Po Box 9000, Calais, ME 04619-6102.

I bought nine or ten rolls of forever stamps a few years ago.  Still have seven rolls. I use these for regular letters, some bills that I still pay by mail and other mailings. For marketing postcards, I use a service and pay whatever the going rate may be at the time.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll have to buy a couple of rolls of Forever stamps.

Over the last 4 years, stamps have increased in price by 32%.

Is it just me or does it seem as though the price hikes are coming along more frequently now than ever before? I swear we went years before we would see an increase. Now, it seems we see it semi-annually!

I buy forever stamps but, do so many mailings that I barely get through one stack before the prices go up again! Thank you so much for the heads-up, Fred. I'm off to PirateShip.com to buy more.

I did not know that you could NOT buy forever stamps, thought that was all they sold anymore. The only mailing I do anymore is to pay a few bills I can not pay in person.

The mail will always be the cheapest bang for the buck.  The price of the postage is insignificant compared to what it would cost to get a letter in another person's hands.  I have always utilized the mail for special events and holidays.
