In person, had to take advantage of the opportunity.  Drove about 10 miles to get inside the totality zone.  Was there about 30 minutes early for a little over a minute of full eclipse.

Home again, home again...

Saw it in person, from my front yard.  We were at about 93%, which was surprisingly unremarkable, but when viewed with those crazy dark glasses, was indeed something to look at. 

My daughter, who lives nearby, sent me this photo of the eclipse at about 75% filtering many tiny little eclipses onto her patio through her wicker table in her backyard.  I thought it was more interesting than anything in the sky.

I did not watch it at all Will Hamm . I may have been excited about it if we had a better view but I remember watching one or two in the past and it just was not all that exciting to me.

We are in Southern California so it was unspectacular.  Fortunately we were able to watch CNN from 9:45AM PST and followed the Total Eclipse of the Sun from Mexico as it progressed across the country in several cities culminating in Maine.  It was something to behold.  I enjoyed the peoples response almost a much as the Eclipse.

Both! It was 'meh' here in Charlotte as we were quite a way from those who witnessed the total eclipse. But, I did enjoy watching the news and friends who are in the area texted some pretty fabulous pictures.
