Since I am closer to 78 than 23, my routine even after years of retirement is the same. I awake around 5:00am, brush my teeth and start the day with a cup of black coffee. No cream, no sugar, no flavoring, just black coffee. Black coffee has been my choice since my junior year in high school.

At 78, it is a good time to retire and enjoy life with no worries about the young agents.

I have half of my day done before the 23-year-old is out of bed.

Two cups coffee with milk, iced tea as the day goes on if that is your question.

At 75 I'm mostly retired except for duties as an elected town official and veterans work. At 23 I had just left military service and my choice of beverage was not coffee. Transitioning to civilian life was not a slam dunk. Today I take 3 creams no sugar.

Knowing what to do is not talked about enough. In our early stages, we are experimenting, seeking, trial & error, questioning perhaps playing hit or miss. The end result of all that is finally KNOWING what to do & doing it.

I pay little attention to 23 year old agents... most don't last very long. I've seen that revolving door in my own brokerage and we have great training. I see too many of them looking for an easy way to make lots of money and we know there's no such silver bullet. 

Well that seems like a pretty simple answer.  23 is just the tippy toes of getting started and probably over spending on expensive coffee drinks and 78 is time to enjoy the fruits of ones years of working  and enjoy whatever beverage one wants!

Are you asking me to reflect on where I was in real estate at 23 and where I expect to be at 73? Or are you asking for a comparison between two different people at these ages and their positions in real estate today?

Lunch. I think the 23 year old is sleeping in and starting their day at lunchtime. Lol! I really don't know. I imagine it's different for everyone.

I have a 26 year old and 29 year old who are two very different kids.

My son (29) starts his day with a 6 mile run or a workout at the gym and ends it with yoga or a soccer game. He's very productive and a healthy eater. He does drink coffee and might try this coffee.

My daughter (26) is married and is not a morning person or a coffee person although she is up and probably starts her day with a Stanley cup full of water. 

As for me, I would try this coffee if it were free and offered by someone who knows how to brew coffee. I don't care for the alternate coffee they show here. I generally start with black coffee from the Keurig in the mornings. I rarely drink coffee with sweetener because it affects my blood sugar levels. In the afternoon I make coffee with my espresso machine and have some very nice German coffee beans that are smooth and have a great flavor. Sometimes I'll add agave and a little cream but only if I've had sufficient protein for lunch. Overall, I get up and do what needs to be done. So there you go. 

Prior to retirement I drank two pots of black coffee every day. Being retired I drink two cups of coffee or less most days. I am drinking a protean drink every morning to help my body heal from my recent calamities Andrew Mooers | 207.532.6573 . 

Been a very long time since I was 23, caffeine is still an important part of gaining focus on my day though.

I wish I knew at 23 what I know today and when I do hit 78, my life would be vastly different!

However, life experiences are what shape us into who we are. At 78, I shall be thankful for all of those life's experiences. At 78, I will be quite content, likely retired at the beach, dancing to beach music in the evenings!!

I can't even remember 23! LOL I start the day with water then the first of my 4 cups of coffee a day. When not drinking that I drink lemon and water and club soda. I wake up talking!!!
