I post a large (post size) general flyer with QR code in the window (from the inside). No box or wet faded flyers.

Expert guidance. Exceptional results.

Oh, the days of yore when flyers ruled the land,

REALTORS with clipboards, pen in hand, so grand!

They’d line those boxes like modern-day art,

Hoping a passerby would take a look, a start!

But alas, dear friends, those paper bouquets,

Faded faster than dial-up internet days.

QR codes emerged, sleek and divine,

Turning paper to pixels—oh, how sublime!

Now, instead of flyers in a box so forlorn,

You scan a tiny square and—voila!—you're adorned

With virtual tours and listings galore,

No more paper clutter, just clicks and much more!

So, is it true? Well, kind of, you see,

Flyer boxes are fewer, but still, maybe,

A few holdouts in the grass-roots fight,

But mostly, we've swapped paper for digital delight!

Why would they when you can pull out your KW app at any house and get all the details without having to slog through the ditch to retrieve a soggy brochure?

I haven't owned a flyer box in 20 years. Many neighborhoods don't allow them. They are always empty or papers flying around or wet. I have a sign rider where people can call for information on the house and I can capture their phone details. When I had flyer boxes I don't remember ever getting a call from a flyer.

I haven’t used a flyer box in 15 years — I use Text and QR Code signs instead.

You want info, I want your digits. 😉
Let’s be real — in SoCal’s digital age, anyone can pull up the full listing on their phone on REALTOR.com in 30 seconds flat. Paper flyers? That’s vintage marketing. I’ve embraced tech, boosted engagement, and saved a few trees along the way. 🌿📱 I'm sure their are some that still use them, to each their own, but I'm selling and adding to my CRM with these...

As you know, Will Hamm, it's different for each Realtor.  Some like them, and some don't.  You can't make a general statement like that, and call it true or false.

Depends on the realtor, old school realtors are still into print. But more and more are using a QR or text code to capture the information.

They are definitely used less than in the "old days"! When you DO use them, though, they can be a powerful tool! Most Realtors think putting a QR code on their sign is enough, but there is an entire generation that doesn't even know how to use a QR code, and they have money! The key is to use them correctly:

1. Make sure the flyer box is always stocked! The neighbors will take all the flyers out within 30 minutes to get all the deets on the house, so if the house is occupied - give them a stack of flyers and the assignment to make sure the box is stocked!

2. Use the flyer correctly! Don't make the mistake of sticking a copy of the MLS sheet in the box. Why would the buyer call you now? You just told them everything they need to know!

3. Use the BACK of the flyer to advertise other listings that you have for sale in the same price range! This gives you more bang for your buck! Make sure you are also putting the property in question on the back of the flyers for the other homes!
