Photo Journalism - Just For Fun The Red Baron appeared in Peanuts Comic Strips on October 10, 1965.   Many Baby Boomers were thrilled when the imaginary Red Baron joined Snoopy and the Peanuts gang cartoon characters created by Charles M. Schultz. The Red Baron was actually a real German fighter pilot named Manfred Albrecht von Richthofen who became the antagonist for Snoopy's battles as the World War 1 Flying Ace. l have always stared at it!Every time I drive through McRae AR I stare at this house thinking that it is the extreme example of an old house that seems to be original and needs work.
