Setbacks - How to move on and get back on track. Setbacks are a fact of life. Without a doubt, setbacks can have dramatic negative effects of all of us if we all allow them to.  Despite our best intentions and well-laid-plans, life doesn’t always go according to our hopes and expectations. We all experience setbacks, both small and large and sometimes we are overwhelmed with frustration. Sometimes it  feels hopeless and stressful and then the self doubts start to creep in.  Always remember there is always hope, and it starts with our mindset and how we chose to view life’s inevitable setbacks. The very first thing to do is to remember you are human. As much as you want to be perfect and always in control, you’re not; no one is. Think about the many, many successes in life already and k...

Do You Owe Money to the IRS? Possible Tax Resolution Strategies to Set Your Mind at Ease Even for honest taxpayers, the IRS can be extremely frightening. Unlike most other government agencies, the IRS has unbridled power to attach your wages, freeze your bank account and even confiscate your property, and that is enough to send a chill up the spine of any taxpayer.  If you receive a letter from the IRS saying that you owe additional taxes, it is important not to panic. It may be a frightening situation, but there are things you can do to settle your tax debt and get back on the good side of the IRS. I represent taxpayers in Mount Laurel and the rest of New Jersey. Taxpayers do have options when resolving tax disputes and paying additional taxes due, and simply knowing what those options...

Beverly Hills, CA 90210Tue Jul 05 2022This week the median list price for Beverly Hills, CA 90210 is $11,995,000 with the market action index hovering around 30. This is less than last month's market action index of 31. Inventory has increased to 163.  The Market Action Index has been trending lower for several weeks while prices have remained relatively stable. If inventory continues to grow relative to demand however, it is likely that we will see downward pressure on pricing. Prices in this zip code seem to have settled around a plateau. Look for a persistent down-shift in the Market Action Index before we see prices deviate from these levels. Market Segments Each segment below represents approximately 25% of the market ordered by price. Median Price Sq. Ft. Lot Size Beds Bath Age Ne...

It can not be emphasized enough that making buyers see themselves in your home is crucial when selling your home.   Of course your house is awesome – it’s your house! But the things that you really love about your home’s decor can sometimes slow down progress when you’re trying to sell your place. Just because you’re all in on the “Halloween all year long” aesthetic doesn’t mean that potential buyers will be able to see past that when viewing your home. What a Home Buyer Sees Although we all like to imagine that we only look at the house itself and never, ever let ourselves be influenced by anything that’s easy to change about a home (or things that don’t even go with the home), the truth is often very different. Many homebuyers, especially those who are in the market for the first time...

In four more days it will be four weeks since I found out I had the China virus. Yes, I got all of my shots. And I am glad I did. It only lasted around five days, I would guess. It was most interesting what I learned in these past few weeks that I had never known in the past, which has given me an enormous change in my thought process. I expect each day to be completely healed by tomorrow. The purpose of this is to bring some knowledge to those of you who may get the virus in the future or people you know who get it you can possibly pass something along to them that they may not know.On day one I began coughing, it was a different kind of cough, not horrible, just annoying that it kept going on and I had no idea why or never even thought it was covid. The next day it was a cough and sore...

The best way to predict the future is to create it. Creating the future will require change. Change really is so difficult. You must change or you will not survive. Let me illustrate the importance of change with story of a once great US company. Anyone who has done photography for years knows that Kodak was the gold standard of film. And if your film was processed by Kodak, you had the best quality picture. You really could tell the difference. Yes, Kodak was branded as a superior image because of high quality film, chemicals, and processing quality control. In the 1980’s someone at Kodak invented a prototype of a digital camera but Kodak did not want to develop it because they had a good thing going. Today, almost every camera (professional to low end) is digital. Those cameras are m...

California's Central Coast - Part 2 - Hearst CastleWe recently took a trip to California's Central Coast for a couple of days.  We were experiencing our first real heat wave here in the Central Valley and decided a trip to the much cooler coast would be a good idea.  The day time temperatures were going to break 100° for several days in a row.  It's not unusual for us to head over to the coast when that happens.  While it's over 100° here in the Central Valley it's usually in the 60's on the coast.California's Central Coast stretches roughly from Santa Cruz in the north to Santa Barbara in the south.  This particular trip we visited the area around Morro Bay in San Luis Obispo county.  One of our stops on this trip was at Hearst Castle in San Simeon Ca. Hearst Castle is located on Highw...

Drip irrigation is a system developed that involves the slow release of water to each plant through small plastic tubes. Efficiency Plants and humans are not so much different. You wouldn’t want to eat a week’s worth of food and water in one day, the same thing for plants. They need water and nutrients in a balanced way as you tailor your system to your crops’ needs. The system will be more efficient as it uses 30-50% less water than traditional methods. It’ll help you place the precise amount of water where the plants need it and prevent overwatering, saving you money and producing more and better crops to harvest.  It can be used just about anywhereThis system will work just anywhere. Drip irrigation is suitable for most soils. Clay soils will need water to be applied slowly to avoid ...
