Strength and safety in numbers. Stepping outside to take a stroll through the garden, I heard a hawk’s shrill, distress call and looked up to the sky. Lo and behold, to my surprise, an entire flock of smaller birds were dive bombing it in mid-air.Apparently, the hawk had attempted to rob a nest and the flock was driving it away for the safety and survival of them all. It began me thinking about the state of our country and the true power of The People.Strength and safety in numbers. We need to protect what is ours at all costs from foreign and domestic enemies, especially the ones intent on destroying the United States of America! Vote citizens, use that voice.  For the better good. 🇺🇸  Photo by Grok

PREVENTING PORCH PIRACY: 10 TIPS TO KEEP YOUR PACKAGES SAFE THIS HOLIDAY SEASON & BEYONDDO YOU LIVE IN ONE OF THE 10 WORST METRO AREAS FOR PORCH PIRATES? Pesky porch pirates seem to be back already with vengeance this year, well ahead of the holiday season. And from everything I read and hear, we can expect more of them than ever this coming holiday season. With more people ordering not just holiday gifts, but everyday items, on-line there are plenty of opportunities for those pirates to "score."  The porch pirate problem is not imaginary. The 2024 annual report on porch piracy statistics by security.org found:  Porch pirates stole $12 billion in packages in the past year. Some 58 million Americans have become victims of porch piracy in the last 12 months. One in four Americans have bee...

Tuesday’s Thoughts…The Right Kind of No Has someone told you they would do something and then backed out…didn’t show up…or complained to everyone about doing it? The right kind of no is better than the wrong kind of yes.Unknown  When I saw this quote, it rang true with me. I jotted it down in my Drafts for Posts file in Google Docs.  Two posts, one by Larry and Sheila Agranoff which spawned a post by Dorie Dillard, reminded me of the above quote.  We’ve all had vendors who’ve assured us they could do the job. "You’re on the schedule. No problem." And then….Oops…Can’t make it. They were too booked and ran late. That was the WRONG kind of “yes.” So what would the RIGHT kind of “no” have been? We would love to help but we’re booked for two weeks. If you can wait, we can be there.  Sales pe...

Stepping from my vehicle, in Sandpoint Idaho, I was taken back by the beauty of yet another tree with such vibrant colors, as they are disappearing quickly. The 2nd tree behind the one in the foreground is what originally caught my attention.  Stepping, with my camera, to see what better angle I could get this foreground tree came to view.  I can not even begin to explain its vibrant beauty.  While better showing the colors off, it still falls far short of the in person visual.  It was as if the the leaves were illuminated, even on this overcast and rainy day in Sandpoint North Idaho.I am guessing on this election day there will be much anxiety, anxiousness and concern.  Hopefully a little touch of this special beauty will help calm many of us.   'Experience the Difference' in working wi...
