Quite a celebration is being placed for Tuesday January 19 as the Olympic Torch passes through Chestermere.  There will be Speakers, Fiddlers, Stomp Dancers, arrival of the torch and lighting of the Caldron, Doves will be released, the Chestermere High School Bank will play, the Chestermere elementary schools choir will sing, an acapella performance, and Coke and RBC entertainment will participate. The public can park at the rec centre.  Handicapped parking will be available at the library, a seniors shuttle will be available from the rec centre.  All Chestermere School children will be bussed to th celebration.  There will be road closures.
