Exploring Alaska: Bike Riding Around Anchorage The flight to Alaska from Los Angeles was not bad at all. About 5 hours and we even arrived an hour early. Within 45 minutes after landing and checking into our hotel, we rented from Downtown  Bicycle  and explored a 20 mile plus bike ride all around Anchorage.  A quick tip, after 5:30pm you can receive a discounted price with your bike rental and have till 10pm to return the bike or hold onto it till the next morning.   More to come... 07/26/2015

Winter in Alaska by Robert Vegas Bob Swetz 11-12-2014     Robert Vegas Bob Swetz is back in Alaska once again and actually enjoying the mild climate compared to the Lower 48.   The storm that hit the Midwest several days ago missed Alaska and the temperatures are wonderful here in Anchorage. Time For a Little Trip, care to join us? Sunday at the Cathedral in Anchorage.  The Cathedral which means, Seat of the Bishop, is always a nice stop when visiting the heart of a Catholic Diocese or Archdiocese. It was nice that we happened to be near one of these churches while traveling through Alaska and had the opportunity to stop for a visit and celebrate Mass. This Cathedral is in the heart of busy downtown Anchorage, the smallest Cathedral that we have seen, nestled in among all the downtown skyscrapers.
