Closed since 1974, the Battle House Hotel -- a downtown Mobile landmark -- will reopen with public festivities on Saturday, May 12, officials announced today. The grand reopening will also help christen the RSA Battle House Tower, Alabama's tallest office building, which is opening next door to the hotel.The festivities actually begin Friday, May 11, with a black tie gala to benefit several local arts organizations.
