Folderol is the new word of the day. Well good morning all I’ve purchased a few of these in my days and should I survive I know I will again.  I’ll take a wager you have too now the question I have for all of you is will you do it again?  Part of America was purchased with these (HINT).  If you haven’t got it by now you won’t so the meaning of (fal’de ral) is a showy but worthless trinket.

Curmudgeonly is the new word of the day. For the vast majority of you I know you’ve heard this word before but do you know the meaning?  I know you will find this hard to believe but I’ve been called this from time to time but another language was used.  That language is not for the Rain family.  So anyway the meaning of (ker muj’en li) is an ill-mannered, bad-tempered person; cantankerous fellow.

Asterism is the new word of the day. Interesting word wouldn’t you say?  If you break it down do you think you can get the meaning of this word?  It actually has three meanings and of course I’ve chosen the third one.  So what say let’s cut to the chase and the meaning of (as’ter – iz’em) is in printing three asterisks placed in triangular form to call attention to a passage.  You know like all of my posts.  Now if I could just figure out how to arrange those I may post it in front of all my blogs.

Panoply is the new word of the day. Don’t know about you but I’ve had people do this to me.  I mean they call me and ask me some information and when I try to get some more information so I can help them they in turn do this to me.  I just don’t understand but anyway the meaning of (pan’e ple) is a complete suit of armor, any protective covering.  So tell me have you had those kinds of people?  What say you?

Halcyon is the new word of the day. Well there boys and girls I found this on in a book I was reading by Tom Clancy.  This word has several meanings so if you get one your ahead of me.  This is one of those words and the several that will follow from his book.  So the meaning of (hal’se en) is tranquil, happy idyllic, esp. in halcyon days usually with nostalgic reference to earlier times.  To be able to go back in time 40 years and know what I know now.  What say you?

Celerity is the new word of the day. We as agents need to act this way.  Did I get your attention?  Wonder what the meaning of this word is?  Not so soon my wayward friends :~) so you would like to know the meaning of (se ler’ I te) well I’ll guess I’ll tell you the meaning is swiftness in acting or moving; speed.  Such as the speed and swiftness we need to act upon when dealing with our clients.

Amerce is the new word of the day. For those of you who studied law this one should be a cake walk.  Otherwise this may be an issue for you to get right.  If we as agents do something wrong this could take effect and most likely will (this is a hint).  Okay no suspense here the meaning of (e murs’) is to punish by imposing an arbitrarily determined fine.  As if you get called up by your States Real Estate Commission you may face a fine and lose your license.

Incunabula is the new word of the day. Okay this one is a new one on me but most of the words I write about are new ones on me.  Most of you will not know the meaning but some of you will.  Well I’ll take that back very few of you will know the meaning.  Like yesterdays word if you don’t know it I won’t keep you any longer the meaning of (in’kyoo nab’yoo le) is the very first stages of anything; infancy; beginnings.  So did you know it?

Gewgaw is the new word of the day. Well, well, well what have we here?  On this new word of the day you either know it or you don’t.  So that as always brings about the question do you know the meaning of this word?  I won’t drag this one out so the meaning of (gyoo’go’) is something showy but useless and of little value; a trinket. So did you get it?  If not don’t feel bad I didn’t either.

Caprice is the new word of the day. Good morning everyone.  Hope your day will go well and may you make a vast amount of money due to your hard work to your job.  Anyway the new word is not the vehicle everyone knows about.  Won’t keep you any longer because (ke pres’) has many meanings so I’ve bet you have met some people who are like this.  The one I’ve chose is a sudden, impulsive change in the way one thinks or acts.  So have you known anyone like this?  What say you?

Aedes is the new word of the day. What is wrong boys and girls do I see the eyebrows raised wondering what in the world does that word mean and did James misspell it.  Well no I did not misspell it the word does exist.  I’m not going to doubt anything that GOD has made but this is one I just scratch my had and wonder why.  So here we go the meaning of {a e’dez’} is a mosquito that carries the viruses that cause yell fever and dengue.  So did you get it right?

Innervate is the new word of the day. Well here we go again.  I do this to you everyday whether you know it or not.  Do I have your interest in what I do to you or those of you who read my ramblings?  I do like to ramble but as usual I will give you a moment to think about the word of the day while you wait for the meaning.  So the meaning of (in nur’vat) is to stimulate (a nerve, muscle, brain, etc.) to movement or action.  Now that you know the meaning do I stimulate you into action?

Free-spoken is the new word of the day. Well boys and girls this is my type of word.  It should be an easy guess for the meaning and you can bet I’m full of it.  I can name a few more of the people I follow on the Rain who are just like me on this one.  So let us cut to the chase and the meaning of (fre’spok’en) is free in expressing opinions; frank; outspoken.   So tell me are you one of these?    I do believe somewhere I remember this was and I say was one of our freedoms but no longer.  What say you?

Fucold is the new word of the day Well here we go as usual you either know the meaning of this word or you don’t.  I was merely looking through my Webster’s ® and came upon this word.  As I was reading the meaning I knew from watching cooking shows some people eat this.  I’m not saying I won’t but I think I’m still out on this one.  So the meaning of (fyoo’koid’) is a seaweed or rockweed.  So did you get it right?  If not that’s okay because I’ve never heard of this one either..

Rather to fail by trying than to fail by not trying. Good morning all as you can see this is not going to be the “new word of the day”.  I decided to concentrate on this saying.  Of course the statement says it all but I’m going to tell you a story of my own failures and the outcome.  I had had more ideas than I would care to say and have acted on a bunch of them.  Most of the time they fail but I keep on trying and I hold on like a pit bulldog and will not let go.  Some ideas or encouragement has turned out in my favor one of which was to join Activerain and be able to learn from my peers.  Thank all of you who follow me and as you would expect there will be more to follow.  Enjoy the day because Life is Good.

Blazonry is the new word of the day. Alright boys and girls if you guessed showy display or to portray in colors you are a winner (not).  The meaning I’m looking for dates back for centuries and is still coveted in some places but not so much in the US.  I know I have one but I can’t really say with certainly it is the true thing.  So the meaning of (bla’zen-re) is a coat of arms; heraldic emblem.  So did you get it right?  What say you?

Blatherskite is the new word of the day. Morning all what an interesting word and who the heck thought this one up is beyond me.  Once you hear the meaning you also will understand.  I’ve known people with this problem in fact I know one now and really wished I didn’t.  But anyway I’ve learned to live with it and if it wasn’t that person it would be someone else.  So the meaning of (blath’ er –skit’) is a talkative, foolish person.  So did you get it?

Decimate is the new word of the day. Okay people I’ll give you that one of the meanings is a famine etc.  but do you know the rest of the meanings for the word of the day?  Stay tuned and learn how the English language is such a wonderful thing.  Do you need another moment or two to search your memory bank?  Tick-tock, tick-tock time is up so the meaning of (des’ e mat’) is to select by lot and kill every tenth one.  Who the h - -l thought that one up?  Enjoy the day

Heriot is the new word of the day. Believe it or not the origin of this word is English.  It also dates back to Feudal Law if that gives you a hint.  If I had not found this word and was writing about it you could have given me all the hints you wanted to and I would have never got this one.  So I won’t keep you in suspense any longer the meaning of (her’e et) is a payment in chattels or money made to the lord from the possessions of a tenant who had died.  So did you get it?
