Substitute Teacher As the story goes a substitute teacher was standing in the hallways near some lockers and had that bewilderment look on her face.  Another teacher having been there walked over and asked her “I know it’s your first day but believe me it will get better once you get the hang of it.”  To that the substitute said, “OH I’ve had a wonderful day the students have been so kind.  I know the rest of the day will even get better once I figure how to get the student out of this locker.” Is that like you can’t see the forest for the trees?  Isn’t it true sometimes we can’t see the whole picture by getting too close to the problem?

Did you ever “niggle” something? You bet ya I have.  In my former profession if I called a deputy into the office sometimes it was just to say hi I appreciate your dedication but usually not.  I would read their report and would call them into the office.  I would compliment them on their work ethic yadda, yadda, yadda.  I would then lower the boom and hand them the report and tell them simply fix it.  I could see the blank look on their face and after a few moments of letting them sweat I would tell them what was wrong with the report.  I knew some of the deputies resented me but after a few reports getting returned they knew if it passed my review it would make it all the way up the line.  The meaning of (nig’el) to work fussy; pay too much attention to petty details.  However petty...

Click Here To See All 31 Bank Owned Homes In Bentonville These 31 homes range from $1,399,000 to just $49,000. The average home on the list is a 3,100 square foot, 4 bedroom, 3 bath home priced just over $300,000.00.   The home pictured to the left is priced $1.4 million. It is a 6400 sq ft monstrosity on over 16 acres with a private lake and indoor pool. It was designed by the well known Architect: E. Fay Jones.   The bulk of these bank owned properties are from people who bought at the peak of the market and were just too upside down in their homes to sell them. The homes were then either unsuccessful shortsales, foreclosed on, which forced the owner to move, or abandoned by the owner and then foreclosed on. It is sad and unfortunate, but I guess the old adage holds true that one man'...

Sad to say I’ve met some in my past with my former profession.  With my new profession I’ve had the thought about a few but not experienced it yet.  You did catch yet didn’t you?  I know it’s coming but thankfully not yet.  Should I come into contact with one I think I’ll pass and give it to someone else?  I’m too old to deal with this.  Now for the meaning of (fish’ wif): a coarse, scolding woman.  So tell me have you met one of these?

Have you ever met a “prig?” No I did not say pig its prig.  I see them not on a daily basis but they are out there.  Sometimes if I’m watching TV I turn it off when this happens. There are certain people I avoid not that I’m afraid of them but because they possess this problem.  I know you will find this hard to believe but some say I have this problem.  So the meaning of (prig) a person who is excessively precise, proper, and smug in his moral behavior and attitude to the annoyance of others.   So now I ask you do you know a prig?

Turn Flat Stocks/Cash To A 20% ROI By FLIPPING HOMES If you could buy a car that you know is worth $20,000 for $10,000 would you do it? I most certainly would. That is exactly what is happening with some of the houses for sale right now in our area. Some of these bank owned homes can be bought for half of their retail value. It does not take a rocket surgeon to see the value in that. It is not exactly that simple. The homes generally need repairs and upgrades, but if you buy it for half its value then you have plenty of room to make the improvements needed and still turn a good profit. If you are not a craftsman, don't worry, there are plenty of professionals out there that can assist you with the improvements, myself included. You can click here to see before and after photos of some o...

Ever seen a person having a “hent” moment? As agents we have this happen to us on a regular basis.  I know I learn something new every day on the Rain.  It may be something minor or major.  But the most enjoyment I get is when my clients get this to happen to them.  So without further ado the meaning of (hent) something grasped in the mind; conception; purpose.  Don’t you just love it when your clients finally get the meaning of what you’re saying or the light bulb finally gets the current to flowing?

Ever had any dealings with a “whoreson”? Now, now let’s don’t go there you know me better than that.  Anyway I didn’t know this word existed at least not in the meaning I’ll give you in a moment.  I’ve had dealings with this type of personally (loosely).  I can say I haven’t been the victim lately but there is another day.  Now for the meaning of (-sen) a scoundrel; knave.  Enjoy your day

Ever had an “oneiromancy” moment? Can’t say that I have but I really don’t know if I believe this.  I know my mother and hers did and could tell you without looking it up.  I usually don’t remember these but I know I do have them.  Anyway the meaning of (o ni’ro manse) the practice of foretelling the future by the interpretation of dreams.  Don’t you wish you could dream for a bright future or world peace and it would happen?  Keep on dreaming

Have you ever been fed a “cornichon?” In this business we are fed this almost on a daily basis.  I had a taste just the other day and I still don’t care for it.  It has its place but not all the time.  We all experience this so now for the meaning of (kor ne shon’) a small sour pickle.  While we experience the sweet smell of success we sometime also experience the bitter taste of defeat.  We are however professionals and will endure and carry on.  What say you?

Just call me Sir Eagle… Yes sir the Eagle has landed.  It all started last week when a friend of mine asked me to go to the local golf course aka par three.  There are 5 par 4’s and 4 par three’s on the course.  On the third hole I hit a dead shot to the trees on the left and the ball ended up in the fairway.  I took out the 7 wood and hit a beautiful shot and saw it roll onto the green.  When I got there with my friend I could not see my ball and low and behold it was in the cup.  My first Eagle and I hope not my last.  Nothing could go wrong the rest of the day in fact it’s still going good
