Well when we left NW Arkansas Tuesday it was 25º not counting the wind chill. We touched down in Ft. Myers around 1PM to a sunny and nice 80º. Like all tourists I went walking down the beach hunting of course for that perfect sea shell this morning. While I picked up a few to show to my lovely bride of 50 years tomorrow. I just had to take a photo of the sunrise.Warm temps, with the love of my life and a sunrise like this, what could be better?Enjoy your day, live it to the fullest and keep that smile on your face, so far you’ve made it through another day.

Walter Marvin was born in San Bernardino, California back in 1889. In the 1920’s he was somewhat a successful farmer just making it by. However, this changed and thus he goes down in the history books, so let’s get to it.His fortune changed when he nursed some abandoned berry plants back to health. Those were a cross between a blackberry and loganberry. He opened a roadside stand in 1890. His wife served fried chicken dinners and within a few years they opened a restaurant. With the success of the restaurant Walter began to build an Old West town around it. The business was a success and thus would place him in the history books. What you may now about Walter Marvin Knott is that he was the creator of Knott’s Berry Farm and amusement park in California.
