CONGRATULATIONS JONESBORO ARKANSAS!!! WOW....What a Great compliment to my hometown.  This is all based on research conducted by the U.S Bureau of Labor Statistics. Jonesboro has a unemployment rate of 6.5 percent, which is very strong compared to the national level. We have our great manufactors of Frito-Lay, Nestle, Butterball, Nordex and others to thank for the unemployment being that low. Jonesboro also has great medical facility in St. Bernards and our new NEA Baptist Hospital and their employment. Yes, Jonesboro is a GREAT place to call HOME. Cost of living is low compared to other places as well. I am very proud to serve Jonesboro Ar. in the Real Estate market as we all know the Real Estate market has been in down times in lots of areas. I can say, we have been and continue to be...

Spring is here and lot of homeowners   are thinking, it is time to put their home on the market. Now that the decision has been made to sell your home, you'll want to look at it differently. It's now a house "for sale"  and you have to look at it through a "buyers" eyes. Dressing your house for success doesn't have to be expensive or time consuming. First, lets start with outdoors....spruce up all around the house outside, trim shrubs, weed garden beds, clean off your outdoor furniture, fix doorbells and door knobs, and any broken windows need to be replaced. Let's go indoors...declutter  kitchen cabinets and  keep counter tops clear, clean closets, keep bathrooms scrubbed, tidy, fresh towels are a good idea as baths and kitchens make the biggest impression on a buyer. Keep shades open ...

The housing recovery is continuing to be strong going  into 2013. The interest rates being the lowest in over 40 years, has been a huge factor. I know our market in Jonesboro, Arkansas has not been affected as much as other places. Jonesboro Real Estate continues to be strong. We have a great manufacturing industry that is food related, which is going strong. I am looking forward to working with both buyers and sellers in 2013. I hope all my fellow Realtors  have a booming year.

TEAM(tem)n. a group of people working and playing together. Teamwork n. joint action by a group of people. Did you notice there is not a I in the word team or teamwork. Selling a home or property is a team effort. It is both Realtor and Sellers responsiblity to work together until property is closed and check is in hand. As I list I tell seller first and foremost we are forming a "TEAM" to get this listing SOLD. If any of you have ever played sports you know how important your team mates are. I have  played sports all my life and all the championship games I played in, we as a team walked to center court and accepted that trophy. My coach always said "There is not a I in TEAM" so therefore why would one person accept a trophy. That is a life lesson I have taken with me even as my ball p...

I know I am not the only Realtor that gets these calls? Each time I get one I ask the same question. I get numerous answers, some are understandable " YES, if your credit score is below 400 you probably need to rent. But, I am so surprised at the callers that say "I don't know" I guess I really haven't thought about buying. After talking with them you figure out the rent they are paying could purchase a nice home, one you could own and call "HOME". I know there are lots of times in your life that renting is the best option. For instance, if you are only going to be in this area for less than a year, or collage students just finishing up their studies. But, just because you don't know why you rent....just boggles my mind.  I had one of these callers a few months ago and after talking wit...

What is a Pre-Approval letter? I get this question ask alot, especially comes from First Time Home Buyers. What is so important about a Pre-Approval letter. As a Realtor let me help you with these questions. First of all, if you are a serious buyer it is a must to get pre-approved. This determines your borrowing power. We do not want to be looking at homes we can not afford, you need to know how much you are qualified for. Also, what type of loan are you getting, if it is a Rural Development you will not need a down payment, it is  100% financing, if it is FHA you will need at this time 3.5% down payment. It is very important to get with a lender and let the lender go over all your options. Pre-approval means your credit files have been reviewed and based on this  information the lender...

If your looking for a nice run, head to Craighead Forest Park. I wasn't really looking forward to my run until I arrived this morning. The temperature was a cool 59 and the sun beamed down between the trees and casted a beautiful bright yellow glow on the red, orange, golden yellow and green leaves. The street was filled with leaves that were slowly falling to the ground. Birds were singing and raindrops were falling off the huge leaf filled trees that were weighed down by yesterdays rainfall. It was breathtaking to be out there this morning. I encourage you to head out to your local park today and take in God's artwork. This morning gave me a great attitude and filled my heart with gratitude for God's wonderful creation.   Make it a great day!   Eric Burch

Calling on all home buyers in Northeast Arkansas. Are you ready to take advantage of these remarkable interest rates? The rates are historically low and NOW is the time to BUY!! If you are renting, the rent you are paying could be more than owning your own  home. If you are wanting a larger home, now is a time to consider moving up.  If you are a home buyer, please contact your local banker or mortgage company to see if you would qualify for a loan. If you do qualify, please contact a Realtor and lets give you the pride of home ownership.

Jonesboro is a great place to live, raise a family and play. As a Realtor you often get ask "What makes Jonesboro unique?"  To me it is "The People" Jonesboro is filled with people who truly give back to the community. It does not matter if it's the pack the bus with school supplies in August for  children or if it is to help send Christmas gifts to our WONDERFUL  service Men and Woman that are in service to this great Country. The folks in Jonesboro and Craighead County,  always amaze me at their eagerness to dig deep in their pockets for the community.  Jonesboro also has activities for you and your family to enjoy. If you are thinking of buying a new home, let me give you some reasons that will make you really want to buy. First, the Mortgage interest rates are at a all time low. And that is what determines what your payment will be,  and what you can afford, hence, lower the rates, the lower the payment. By purchasing a home now, you will lock in a low interest rate that will benefit you for the term of your loan. Other reasons to buy now is the fact that houses are priced right due to the housing market down turn. Also, the selection of homes on the market today is great. You have more to choose from. So, if you are only in the thinking process as to buy or not, I would say to you, the buyer....its a buyers market right now!!! Great rates....plenty of homes to pick from....so what are you waitin...

If We are all paying for the current Housing Crisis- and if as the "Experts" say even 2 generations after us  will be continuing to pay for this "Bail Out"...and if We,as REO agents are paying for "The Bail OUT" then why are some agents in areas getting all the REO business, to the point where they have to hire an assistant??? There are experienced REO Agents scraping to get by - not getting nearly the business. There are extenuating circumstances on these assignments I am being told, but everyone I talk to seems to be on the same page. The Justice Department won't help- I already tried that. I have complained to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac,etc...deaf ears...it seems it is just easier for the Asset Mgrs to keep on "keeping on" with just these few agents.  What are your ideas on this and i...

It started off as an active rain contact via-email. I always get a little excited when I see those, since I have had several closed deals through active rain contacts. This buyer is from Arizona and was wanting to move to the natural state. She said to rid herself of the heat, those of us who live here chuckle at that one. Anyway, I called her  to see how I could help in her home search and to begin the house hunting process. She decided to fly in along with her daughter to begin the search. I was able to find about six homes that had the criteria she wanted. They flew in and we only had two days to look, look at the houses again, write contract, get contract accepted, and get the two of them back on the plane. We found exactly what she was looking for I wrote the contract, it was accep...

Century 21 Indian realty is at it again. On Sat. Dec. 12th. we loaded up our little elves, along with Santa and headed to our local nursing home. The residents there always enjoy our trip. We give them all teddy bears. It is so nice to see our past bears over the years sitting on their bed or sitting on the shelves. Many of them said "you made my day" what they dont know is they just made my day. It is so good to give. So during this season, please just give, it can be in any form. You can give money or time. It sure does make your day a little brighter to see the smiles of those you are helping.....Merry Christmas....Hope you all have a Great 2010.

On Friday Nov. 13th. my co-workers and I held a food drive for our local Salvation Army. We also had the famous red kettle for donations. The weather was great and the support we got was even better. We all had a wonderful time giving back to our community. This event was held in our Century 21 parking lot. We raised money, canned goods and staple items.  As the Thanksgiving holidays near us, please remember to help those that are in need.  We at Century 21 Indian Realty support our local community needs and the Salvation Army is a wonderful organization to help. I would like to say "thanks"to all who donated food and money. We will do it again soon. Just watch for the big Salvation Army truck in our parking lot. Hope everone has a great Thanksgiving Day, please enjoy all your many bles...
