Cricket is the new word of the day. No I’m not going to write about the famous Jimeny Cricket of Walt Disney fame.  This is also not about the game but about something one would not think about when hearing this word.  However after reading the meaning from now on you’ll know one more meaning of (krik’it) which is a wooden footstool.  Now what are you going to do with all this new found knowledge?

Environs is the new word of the day. Okay you real estate agents, lenders; and so on this one should be easy.  If you don’t know it don’t feel lonesome I didn’t either.  It may have been mentioned in my pre license class or maybe my post license but if it was I forgot it.  So for those of you who recognized the word congratulations to you for those of you who did not have a clue like me the meaning of (en vi’ranz) are the districts surrounding a town or city; suburbs or outskirts.  So did you know it?  Smile it will make people wonder what you’ve been up to.  This is my second post of the day.  Be sure and read the first on please.

Marry is the new word of the day. Now some of you may think okay James has totally lost it now.  Such an easy word right, well now let’s not get ahead of ourselves shall we.  Of course the first thought is of course to join as husband and wife or now to be politically correct as man and man or woman and woman.  But on all those counts you would be wrong.  The meaning of (mar’e) I was looking for is an exclamation of surprise, anger, etc.  So did you get the right meaning what say you?

Schadenfreude is the new word of the day. What a mouthful of a word for sure.  Does anyone speak German?  If so you may know this word and its meaning.  I don’t understand why someone would want to feel this way but a lot of people do.  Not much more I can say about this word except for the meaning of (shad’n froi’de) is joy or glee at another’s misfortune.  Just don’t understand it do you? What a great day today is and remember to smile it will make people wonder what you’ve been up to.  Who knows it may even bring a smile to their face.

Jink is the new word of the day. Well what do you know Word 2007 does not recognize this word?  I find that interesting but anyway on we go to more knowledge.  I’ve had people do this to me when I was in law enforcement and sometimes now when a client just doesn’t want to talk (hint).  Can you hear the jingle they play in Jeopardy© on the final question while the people are writing down their answers?  So your time is up the meaning of (jink) is to move about swiftly or with sudden turns as in dodging a pursuer.  Did you know or get it?  What a great day today is and remember to smile it will make people wonder what you’ve been up to.  Who knows it may even bring a smile to their face.

Eleemosynary is the new word of the day. Well I’ve heard this called by several names but not this one.  Word 2007 recognizes it but some of the more simple words I use it doesn’t go figure.  Anyway getting back to the word of the day we have all done this some more than others but it happens every day.  So the meaning of (el’I mas’emer’e) is supported by or dependent on charity.  So do you support a charity either through your work or as a volunteer what say you?  What a great day today is and remember to smile it will make people wonder what you’ve been up to.  Who knows it may even bring a smile to their face.

Mome is the new word of the day. Good morning all, my wife has called me this but used other terms or the meaning of the new word.  I won’t go into a lot of detail but once you know the meaning you’ll be able to figure it out.  So let us just get to the meaning of (mom) is blockhead or fool.  So I wonder if you my loyal followers have you been called this in one form or another?  If so what say you?

Fiefdom is the new word of the day. We as agents have some of this and we all as Americans have this.  Of course the question is do you handle this with care as one should or do you throw it all away regardless of your answer it still remains your choice.  If I may offer but a few words of wisdom and experience chose wisely your future is at stake.  So now for the meaning of (fef-dem) is anything under a person’s complete control or authority.  I think it’s called life what say you?

Circumlocution is the new word of the day. As many of you know I do this daily and sometimes in hopes of you really getting what I am truly trying to say.  Then there are those times I am just blowing smoke up your pant leg and thinking of words to write while I’m getting to the meaning of the word which reminds me the meaning of (-lo kyoo’shen) is a roundabout, indirect, or lengthy way of expressing something.  You know like I do and so do some of you.  Smile today it will make someone wonder what you have been up to.

Egregious is the new word of the day. I’ve been known to cause people these types of days.  In fact in my years of law enforcement I’ve done this a lot.  What most of them understood is that I was just doing my job.  For those who didn’t understand that and tried to interfere with my work they went to jail further exasperating their woes.  Do I have your interest if so the meaning of (e gre’jes) is outstanding for undesirable qualities; remarkable bad.  Now what say you?

Diadem is the new word of the day. I wonder if you have had any clients or agents who thought they had one of these.  I know I have and I did not like it one bit.  What I don’t understand is they put their pants on the same way I do but they think they get up with one of these on.  So the meaning of (di’e dem) is an ornamental cloth headband worn as a crown.  Did you know the meaning what say you?

Praetorian is the new word of the day. I bet we have all seen these people and they are called by various names but this one is a new one on me.  This post is going to be a short one so we’ll get right to the meaning of (pre tor’e en) is a designation of or like a bodyguard.  So did you know the meaning?

Twaddle is the new word of the day. Interesting word isn’t it?  Sometimes I post one of these but some of you may think I do this every day.   I know people who do this but I think we all do this from time to time.  Not going to spend any more time on this one so the meaning of (twad’l) is foolish, empty talk or writing.  So did you get it right what say you?

Zein is the new word of the day. Okay this is one of those words that can and surly cannot be associated with real estate (sort of).  It all depends on how you look at it.  Now the question is since it is tasteless and a protein how is it used for the real estate market?  Well I’m glad you asked now for the meaning of (ze’in) is a white tasteless, odorless protein extracted from corn, used in plastics, coatings, paints and inks.  Like the paints used to paint homes and plastics used in the manufacture of various articles used in the construction business.  Now are you glad you read this post what say you?

Carapace is the new word of the day. Don’t know about you but I’ve had people do this.  Haven’t had it happen lately but tomorrow is another day.  Have you ever talked to people and they seem to do this?  Oh I guess you would want to know the meaning of the word before you answered.  So the meaning of (kar’e pas’) is a protective covering over all or part of the back of certain animals, as the upper shell of the turtle, armadillo, crab, etc.  So have you ever had a conversation with a person only to be sure they have pulled their head into their shell and shut you out?  What say you?

Husting is the new word of the day. Well here is the good old U.S. we call this another name and the news media uses it a lot.  The word originated from Old English and has been around for awhile.  Back before television politicians would do this looking for the votes.  The term is originally referred to a physical platform.  From there the politicians would stand above the crowd and give their speech.  If this were not available they would stand on a tree stump giving rise to the word "stumping" and is still used today.  Now what say you?

Life is simple people complicate it. I watch either the History Channel or Food Network almost exclusively except when I’m watching the local news.  One of the contestants who in the end lost made the statement.  Just think 6 simple words that speak volumes.  If only all the people in the world would take those words to heart what a simple world this would be.  Frankly there is nothing left to say except go make it a wonderful day.

Malignity is the new word of the day. I’ve seen this so many times in my former profession I really don’t need to see anymore.  However we are bombarded every day with the news media spouting their take on this event.  The meaning of (me’ –ne te’) is a persistent intense ill will or desire to harm others.  Seen it often what about you?
