Cot is the new word of the day. So you think you know the meaning?  Look carefully at the word and think about it before you answer.  This one is tricky but you would expect less from me?  It’s pronounced (kat) if that gives you a hint.  Give up yet?  OK the meaning of cot is a cottage; small house.  A small shelter so did you get the meaning right?  I for one would have never guessed it.

Cahier is the new word of the day. When I started to work actually before I started my real estate career I was given this my first day of school.  After I passed the exam and went to work I was given a new one of these.  Actually everywhere I’ve worked I have received one.  The meaning of (ka ya’) is a report on policy and procedure.  So tell me did you get it right or did you think of something else?  What say you?

Baldric is the new word of the day. OK all you military people you should know the meaning to this word.  Now for all of you non-military people you know what this looks like and I know you’ve seen one of these but did you know the name for it? This is still in use today and I cannot see it going away in the near future.  Now for the meaning of (bol’drik’) is a belt worn over one shoulder and across the chest to support a sword, bugle, etc.

The new word of the day is pronounced (yea right) I’ll get to that later.  As you can see the last portion is phobia if that gives you any idea of what is coming.  So have you guessed it and if so are you one of these people?  On a personal note I’m not so I can tell you my mother wasn’t unless it came to a black cat.  The meaning of (tris’ke dek’e fo’be e) is the fear of the number 13.   I don’t care who you are big small or anything in between you have a phobia.  So now what say you?

Stoical is the new word of the day. Well here we go again.  I did not know this word existed but now I do.  When I was a cop I did this as a way to cope with all the tragedies I witnessed in my 29 years on the street.  Now that I’m away from it I have gone just the opposite.  Before we get more into this the meaning of (sto’ I kel) is showing austere indifference to joy, grief, pleasure or pain.  Now I can’t watch a sad movie without shedding a tear or a show where they build a home for deserving people (damn).  My time left on this planet is valuable to me and I watch only happy endings as with me now my time is a happy time with all the sad times gone by.  Enjoy your day my friends.

This word is spelled in to different ways.  One is conge and the other is congee they both have the same meaning so I took the one with the extra e.  The word origin is France so have you figured it out or should I say think you know what it is?  OK I’ll tell you the meaning of (kan’je) is to take formal leave; to bow in leaving. Do you bow anymore? Did you get it right or did you think it meant something else?

Repent is the new word of the day. Don’t leave just yet and I’m not a preacher.  As those of you who follow my posts you know the words I write about is not what they seem.  When we write a contract this happens.  When we are waiting for the closing to happen this happens, when we are waiting for our check this happens.  Have you guessed it yet?  Well the meaning of (re’pent) is creeping or crawling.  Isn’t it so slow when you are waiting on the answer for the contract you wrote?  Closing day seems to take years etc.  What say you?

Badinage is the new word of the day. OK as with a lot of these I ask the wife first.  If she doesn’t know what it means I got a shot on stumping you?  I feel I’m one of these and take pride in it.  In reading some of your blogs I think I know some of you who are one of these, please wear it with pride.  The meaning of (bad’ n azh”) is playful; teasing; to jest, make merry.  Just live day by day and enjoy each one.  Have fun and enjoy the day.

Nabob is the new word of the day. I felt at one time I was there but then I woke up and found out it was just a dream.  It was a nice dream but as always I’ve had a steak dream with a hamburger wallet.  Although I don’t think I’ll ever make it there is no harm to dream the dream.  So to the meaning of (na’bab’) is a very rich or important man.  NO WAIT I am a very rich man, I’ve got a wife that loves me for over 44 years now and how many people can boast of that one? See dreams can come true

Pecky is the new word of the day… I was going to write about another word but I’m debating on how to use it without getting censored.  So you’re stuck with this one for today.  I’ve seen this and I know you have also; the question is how any times you’ve seen this.  So now I guess you would like to know the meaning of (pek’e) is showing or marked by spots or holes caused by decay.  So now that you know the meaning of pecky what say you?

Penetralia is the new word of the day.. In our profession we can’t have any of this.  I have in the past known people in the past and really currently that do this.  I for one will not do this because it will most assuredly get me in trouble.  Now for the meaning of (pen’I tra’le e) things kept private or secret.  No secrets in this profession.  Don’t want to stand before a judge and try and tell him/her why I decided to keep it a secret regardless of what it is.  What say you?

Well if you read this I bet ya you’re wondering where in the world I found this one.  Well to tell you the truth it was in my Webster’s ®.  Now I’ve done this and some people who comment on my blogs I know have done this.  Of course the question I have for you is not if you’ve done this because I know you have the question is how often?  So the meaning of (kwaf) is to drink deeply in a hearty or thirsty way.  Now what say you?

Adextremum is the new word of the day. OK word seekers here is another one of those WHAT?  As you all are aware I just a little right of center why you may ask because I do enjoy this I do enjoy it so.  Sorry now back to the word.  As we go through this journey we call life we make friends and influence people as we ourselves are being influenced by people.  The memories we leave and the people who will truly miss us is the journey.  The meaning of (ad’ eks tre’mem) is to or at the very end, at last; finally.  What kind of for lack of a better term legacy will you leave?  Enjoy the day

Rodomontade is the new word of the day. they never seem to go away.  No I’m not just talking about some people I’ve met in the past but some current.  However, we all at sometime in our lives have done this.  If you’re in this business you need to continue to do this but the secret is knowing when to quit.  So with that the meaning of (rad’e men tad’) is arrogant boasting or blustering, ranting talk.  While we all need to boast from time to time about our accomplishments knowing when not to is the secret what say you?
