I do this without hesitation and you should also.  This is something I believe that everyone would like to do but some just don't know how.  Trust me when I started I had several people try this and I had to come up with what felt comfortable to me.  The meaning of abecedarian: any beginner or novice.  Assist your new agents and make a difference in their life and career.  Join wordsmith on Activerain.  It's a great day to buy or sell a home. I've had to do this in my short time in real estate more times than I care to.  It's something I do not enjoy and I bet you don't either.  But it's part of your job and you do have a duty to do your job.  I have a client I'm working with now and I've delivered this message more than once.  The meaning of onus: a difficult or unpleasant task, duty etc.  Join wordsmith on Activerain.  It's a great day to buy or sell a home. I know one thing for sure mine isn't this?  You know you can change this with the blink of an eye.  Have you looked in the mirror to see how you can change this?  It's so simple all you need to change is what you're looking at.    The meaning of insipid is: not exciting or interesting; dull; lifeless.  Put some zing into your business change your attitude or the way you have been doing business and watch it grow.  Join wordsmith on Activerain.  It's a great day to buy or sell a home. Are you one of those agents who will tell a client anything to get the listing?  Do you tell your buyers the moon is the limit and then don't deliver?  Do you make promises that you know deep down inside you, you can't make good?  If so than you are a pie crust agent.  Be as solid as the pan you place the pie crust in and follow through on your promises or don't make them.  Your business and reputation will suffer then you will proudly ask over the microphone "Would you like to biggie size that for twenty cents more"?  It's a great day to buy or sell a home. I wonder how many of you are going to read this one.  Also I wonder how many are going to comment or use this today or tomorrow or next week, month, year you get the idea.  Now for those of you who don't know me I do this every minute of every day of every week and again you get the idea.  If you don't do this you'll lose and for those agents who do use this they'll win.  The meaning of yare: ready; prepared.  Are you yare when you go to a listing?  Do you know your market?  You get the idea now go yare your clients.  Join wordsmith on Activerain.  It's a great day to buy or sell a home. I personally haven't seen one of these but I know they exist.  What do you use to cut away the fat?  The fat I'm talking about with this word is fat from any kind of meat be it beef, chicken, pork etc.  The meaning of ulu: a knife with a broad, almost semicircular blade.  The fat you need to concentrate on is the fat in your budget.  While I don't recommend the use of this type of knife literally to cut the fat from your budget consider what you need to do to accomplish cutting the fat.  Join wordsmith on Activerain.  It's a great day to buy or sell a home. Ask yourself this question can you answer it with authority?  So let me ask those of you who can't readily answer the question are you a great salesperson.  How about a great listing agent or buyer's agent. Do you keep your promises to your clients?  All of us have talents that we don't recognize.  You have talents work on perfecting them and then work on the talents you don't have.  It's a great day to buy or sell a home. Man I like this word.  I do this just to get a reaction from people.  I'm not bragging just fact I am good heck no I'm real good at this.  I only know of a few people that do this but when they are in the "grove" they are great.  I can just sit back and watch them for a long time.  The meaning of argufy: to argue about something merely for the sake of arguing.  Join wordsmith on Activerain.  It's a great day to buy or sell a home. I do this on a consistence basis do you?  If not I bet this is one of the main reasons you don't get that listing or only have one visit with a buyer.  You only get one shot and if you miss they will come to me.  I do this every day and try to improve on it.  The meaning of proem: an introduction or preface.  You only get one time to make a first impression don't blow it.  Join wordsmith on Activerain.  It's a great day to buy or sell a home. I do this consistently and on a daily basis.  Do I win each and every battle?  I would like to say without hesitation yes but that doesn't work either.  Do I ever give up bet your life I don't?  I go down fighting with my last breath.  You may ask why because I believe I'm the best and there's no reason to call or interview another agent.    The meaning of wallop for this blog: to defeat overwhelmingly.  Now go wallop your fellow agents because you're the best.  Join wordsmith on Activerain.  It's a great day to buy or sell a home. When you stood up in front of the other agents with your local board and raised your right hand you swore an oath.  To that end you owe this to your clients.  I'm currently working through a mess and am trying to work things out with the seller and buyer but I think this one is a lost cause.  I will however continue to work with them until I have ran the course.  The meaning of telamon: a supporting column in the form of a man's figure.  Be that supporting column for your client.  Walk them through the process of selling or buying a home it's satisfying.  Join wordsmith on Activerain.  It's a great day to buy or sell a home. You'll like this one.  It's like the macerate one I used a while back.  If you can do this you can get more sellers and buyers.  It's a simple concept but how you do it is up to you.  I have my methods and the possibilities are endless on how you do this.  The meaning of uncinate: bent like a hook; hooked.  Hook your clients with the method of your choosing.  I use the phone and letter writing what's your method?  Join wordsmith on Activerain.  It's a great day to buy or sell a home. I write blogs using words not associated with real estate and turn them into usage associated with something in real estate.  Anyway the other day I wrote a blog and another agent wrote the caption for this blog.  When I first read it I thought of Dr. Seuss and his books.  How many times do you use words not readily associated with real estate in your everyday transactions? Everyone has one and the job for you is to find it in your clients.  Most of you know the common analogy of spur is something cowboys tied onto boots and used it to get the horse moving.  Another common thought is bone spurs.  The kind of spur I'm looking for is the meaning I took from it and that is: anything that urges stimulus to action.  The action is for your clients to act on either listing the home or accepting a good or reasonable offer.  So tie on your spurs and get to work.  Join wordsmith on Activerain.  It's a great day to buy or sell a home. I'm a fan of old movies especially war movies.  I've watched some of them so much I can quote a lot of them verbatim.  One of my favorites is Sergeant York.  For those of you who haven't seen it I suggest you do so.  It has a lot of things that America once stood for but has lost.  One of the lines was when a person asked York played by Gary Cooper how he was York replied "tolerable".  So the meaning of tolerable is: in reasonable good health.  So I ask you how's your business is it tolerable?  Join wordsmith on Activerain.  It's a great day to buy or sell a home. Wouldn't be nice if every client or agent was to do this?  It would make our job so much easier.  Some agents that are sitting on the sideline might even enjoy coming to work.  I know it would make me work even harder than I do but do you think this is really going to happen?  We can only hope so and the meaning of patency: the state of being open or unobstructed.  From the first contact strive to have this happen with your clients.  Try and make them understand they may need to adjust the price of their home in this market for it to sell. This is a good one.  You do this without thinking and you do this on a daily basis.  So tell me do you do this and if not why not it's your job.  I constantly think of this and I do this all the time.  My mind is in motion and its thinking of this for my clients or my future business.  The meaning of soever: in any way to any extent to all of those possible including who, what, when, where and how.  This word weather you knew it or not should be the one word you remember the rest of the year and practice using it daily.  Join wordsmith on Activerain.  It's a great day to buy or sell a home. I do this on a consistent basis and I wonder do you.  This is not easy to do and sometimes it's downright frustrating to the point of why bother.  I do this because it has brought me sales and referrals.  Most agents pass over these and I take advantage of the situation. You might ask what fossa well its meaning is: a cavity, pit or small hollow.  Don't overlook those clients or property that are small (not a lot of money) they know people who know people and the referrals keep coming.  But hey if you're in NW Arkansas or SW Missouri leave them alone and I'll see you at the bank.  Join wordsmith on Activerain.  It's a great day to buy or sell a home. So there you are living day to day wondering when the next person is going to call you to list their property.  You might be lying on the couch feeling sorry for yourself because the sell you thought was (in the bag) fell through.  Are you thinking of giving up and going to get a "real" job?  Please do so because I need the extra work.  If you were paid minimum wage for all the hours you put into this business you would not need to worry about the listing or the sell because you would be rolling in money.  Want to succeed then roll up your sleeves stop whining and get to work.  Remember the difference in a failure and a successful person is not in luck but hard work.  Be a success...
