No I’m not telling you to go out and change the world or anything like that.  I’m not telling you to violate any Federal, State or agency rules.  What I am telling you is (with the permission of your broker) if you see something that can be streamlined do it.  If you can make the workload easier for the people in your office do it.  If you can make the process lighter for the other agents than do that.  Don’t just look at a problem and say to yourself “If it was done like this ------ than it would be easier.  It’s up to you we would be still covering ourselves in animal skin and living in caves if it were not for the ones who thought of change.   Join the group ‘Wordsmith’ in Activerain.  It’s a great day to buy or sell a home. Man ole man do I like Webster the dictionary that is.  So tell me are you the ampelopsis of your agency?  The meaning according to Webster is a climbing vine.  We all have the agents who come into the office and right off the bat they are million dollar producers per month.  Then there are those who struggle to sell five hundred thousand per year and some not even that.  Personally I like to progress slower but sure in my steps.  It's a great day to buy or sell a home. According to Webster one of the meanings is: a cutting off, as by surgery.  Now I need to relate that to real estate.  Do you have one of those agents, clients, friends who just drive you crazy?  Get rid of them by abscission not literally but figuratively (don't want any harm to anyone).  Free yourself and move on and say "next."  It's a great day to buy or sell a home. Ever wonder how successful people get to where there at?   Well it's not by sitting on their duff waiting for the phone to ring, showing up with a listing presentation that is half put together or a contract lacking the elements of what the buyer asked for.  They get there by rolling up their sleeves and getting to WORK!! I'm only a babe in the woods as far as the real estate business goes.  There have been times that I've just wanted to thrown in the towel and go home.  That's not how I'm built but I saw no way around it.  It was like I was pouring money down into an empty pit with no return.  To those of you who are out there thinking about throwing in the towel I suggest you give it a little more time.  There has been roller coaster rides before and ultimately the ride comes to a stop and things return to normal (whatever that is).  Hang in there sunshine the ride will stop.  It's a great day to buy or sell a home. If your agency does not have anyone able or willing to help new agents out then you might want to get someone or volunteer yourself.  When I first started I would have saved myself a ton of money and worry if someone would have done that for me.  I'm not saying to take someone and hold their hand for 8 hours a day for weeks on end.  Just an hour or two every day for the first two weeks or so.  It just may keep an agent happy to be with your company.  It's a great day to buy or sell a home. I heard agents use this phrase more times than I would like.  The thing is they sit around and wait for the phone to ring or don't do much at all in making contacts.  They wonder why their sales are down and they are not making any money.  With that attitude even a blind person can see why.  Come out with a new attitude and embrace the new day with a winning thought.  It's a great day to buy or sell a home.
