Looking for a restaurant in the East Phoenix Valley? Check out Tres Banderas in Apache Junction where you can order menu items from three different cuisines - American, Italian and Mexican. The name Tres Banderas stands for three flags representing the three different cuisines. The restaurant opened in September 1996 and is a family owned restaurant. The owner had a life long dream of having his own restaurant and had worked for more than seventeen years in Carson City, Nevada as a chef before coming to Arizona. The family saved money and, as the story goes, just left and drove to some place where the money they had saved would be enough for them to open a restaurant. The result was the opening of the restaurant in Apache Junction Arizona. He has his own recipes and the entire family wo...

I was reading the newspaper this morning, and on the "front" page, there was an aricle with bright yellow poppies displayed in the very center of the page. Because of our rain this winter season, we have wildflowers everywhere. On the side of the freeways, in the foothills, and yes, at Lost Dutchman State Park. The paper warned that if we want to see these wildflowers, we had better do it earlier rather than later this weekend because of a low-pressure system coming our way today and Saturday. We decided to go for it. We were among many along the slopes of beautiful desert plants, the beautiful mountain, flowers with a breeze cooling us off as we climbed. Did you know? At least in Arizona, picking the wildflowers is illegal!!! The Mexican Gold Poppy -- shown on the left side here is an ...

If you can brave the chilly temperatures, the year's best meteor shower is expected to reach its peak tonight and early Friday morning. It should be visible starting at 9 pm and going into the early morning hours.  Peak hours are midnight to 2 a.m. Although the city lights will make them less visible, at least we have a thin crescent moon tonight.  Looking forward to a good show  Happy watching!www.realestatewithjody.com

It's really true! My new little home in Apache Junction, Arizona listed for $165,000 just went under contract! Now I want to list all of the nice homes under $200K. This one went on the MLS Friday, December 7, http://activerain.com/blogsview/298623/3653-South-Conestoga-Road, we had one offer on the 8th and another on the 9th. Seller accepted the second offer. This is a darling little home, and I figured it would go fast, but am so pleased that it went this fast. Already spoke with the lender to reassure myself somewhat, buyer's agent went to title today and escrow was opened. Ahhhhhh for those good old days! Are they back? Maybe! We'll just have to wait and see. Now I just need to see if this closes as promised. I'll keep you all posted. So? Do you think it sold so quickly because: Real...
